everything is correct mounted on correct plate etc. I have used reflex black binding for 5y + without problems. I will double check if Reflex has changed recommended distances\setup but I doubt it. The boot fits nice and firmly

haha.. reflex writes: Reflex White Hardshell The white upper cuff has more torsion flexibility to release the leg above the ankle providing greater accuracy and comfort. Also, the white cuff allows the skier to move more on the rear before the wake. A flexion brake made out of webbing strap limits the forward flexion and allows the skier to have more power on the tip of the ski.

I just got a new (replacement) Reflex front binding (boot+750 release), the old (black) one worked perfect. BUT The new setup with White&black boot kept releasing in the middle of wake crossing with hard falls as a result. I kept tightening the binding, until i reached 9 - still the boot would release - I changed the release back to my old one - and again a release and hard fall? I finally found, that the new boot (with strap) is touching the release when I ski too far back on the ski - allowing my front leg to lean back and the strap to touch the release - see pic. This is not acceptable. My question is now: Has anybody else experienced this? And how can I fix it? Thanks

@SkiJay - yes I know that you have to compare FD,FL,DFT and not the marks on the fin - however I notice that the 2 fins are not exactely the same - and strangely enough I feel the ski act the same when I align the markings - which make a huge difference in FL : I now ski FL 6,97 (feels like the old (slightly different) fin on 6,930) and the ski works perfect - new PB yesterday for the first time in 25 years - Im happy - love the new blue ARC.

OK tried both fins and must say that not much difference BUT i had to ski with much different "settings" on the new fin - i think it is because the edge/front of the new fin is a tiny bit "longer" right where you measure the length - so in order to have both fins settings equal I had to go up to 6,97 in length (factory = 6,930) - and funny enough - both fins now aligns the same (marks on fin aligns with the edge on both fins) - I think @SkiJay mention somewhere to be carefull not to scratch the front of the fin because even small scratces here can have a big effect on the FL measures (so FL is very sensitive).

@DW yes I know why they had the extra holes, I just wanted to know if anyone could tell the difference on the ski and how to "correct", SkiJay have tested the 2 fins on the same ski and have described the difference in his old report - exactly what I needed to know. @aupatking - Yes I will :)

@LeonL thanks, I love the ski right now - "spaciest" 35 off ever - I already moved the binding forward - which setup do you refer to ? Horton used 2 different settings - both actually very close to factory: (9 dgr wing sounds a lot - don't think I would like the ski to be slower)

I started out with a demo, my friend changed the fin to save the factory fin - we ski in a very shallow lake (sometimes scraping the fin).... Maybe I will just keep this fin. I also would expect slightly more smear - perhaps more drag ? I guess I will have to try it out - maybe @skijay can suggest how to compensate ?

Im currently on a new Arc (blue) and tested it with an old D3 fin as you can see there are some more holes (for another wing) at the bottom... can I expect different behavior when mounting the factory fin ? The ski is perfect now so I don't want to experiment too much... (new) factory fin:

7 th set on blue - best ski I ever had - really helps me - and no fin tuning yet. Damn why are we close to end-season....

first 2 sets on blue on stock/factory settings (67" 2,455-6,930-0,755).... kind of ended up on the back of the ski out of my off side turn. Moved bindings one hole forward (30 1/8 as Horton) Boom smothest 32 off (55mph) this year my wing is only 7dgr as recommended from factory - I think Hortons 9 dgr. sound as much ? stock/Factory settings seems as a very good starting point with bindings slightly forward.

@Horton, [blue vs yellow]....I noticed you also liked the Vapor 2016 very much - I my self could not ski so good on the Vapor (the arc of the turn felt more narrow and turned to abruptly for mee) - Im usually on a very shallow and cold lake, that demands patience in the finish of the turn. My question is - do you think you like the blue better because the blue turns faster with more thight arc (because of softer front) - or is it more complicated.

@jdarwin "more sensitive to fin movement than any D3 in the past" ? I have never experienced a ski so sensitive to fin movement like the 2013 quest - i hope its not the case, because it really took me a long time to get it right .....

got my 67 - tried Rossi # - the ski felt to lively - turned to quickly (tight arc) - Comming from a d3 Quest, this ski takes some time to get used to... tried the rinni # which makes the ski more controlled - however now Im having trouble getting space (34 mph 32 off) Im running almost same @count as on the Quest (3@ 35) - but with much less space. Only had 4 sets, so I need another 6-8 sets to determine if this is my future ski - however at the moment its not - it shall not be harder to run usual @counts. The ski is a top performance ski - no doubt - but we all ski a bit different ...

I have tried @gavski's strategy (Im no pro) - I believe the idea is the same as downhill ski slalom - you have loads of pressure on your legs (in a carving turn - where snow skiers change edge), if/when you stop the resistance and relax in your legs (for a short moment) the ski kind of shoots down under you from one edge to the other.... without your body travelling from the left to right over the ski..... (or vice verca) ... When I tried this approach I made the fastest edgechange ever....

@Jordan I borrowed the ski and did not check the settings - he never changed the settings after receiving the ski, so should be factory settings.

Yesterday I tried a 68" (first time ever on a Radar) - I have been on a Quest 67 (2013) - I'm 6' 180-185 lbs. usually I ski 2-3@35 off (34 mph)- The ski felt a bit loose in the begining (higher in the water) and I had to run it a lot different from the quest.... after a few passes I learned to initiate the turn a bit later - and be a lot more on the front (easy on this ski) - the ski turns ultra fast - almost to fast - I really had to koncentrate on getting quickly in "stack position" after the turn and the ski feels a bit "loose" into the wake..... should I try the 67 to get a deeper riding ski/feeling (as I have always preferred) or should I try to get used to the bigger ski which has no problem turning. I'm asking because its quite difficult to get a 67' demo here (I have to buy one).
