  1. Don't count that out, neither was WPB last year
  2. I have run 38 with ease on the Connelly at 32mph but at 34 it starts doing heliocopter's coming into the buoys, and there's no way to fix it
  3. Sorry to see that looks like maybe straight line winds, OB you should sit through an F5 coming right at you, sad think is with all the regulations in WPB permitting construction will take forever to replace
  4. Dead on George, but please balance the boat
  5. @rodltg2 The Mc is by far the easiest system to operate and makes common sense, the Linc system requires too much effort jumping between screens, nothing seems to flow very easy to get on the wrong screen and too much information that is not essential to tournament skiing
  6. @Chef23 I've skied on more split skis than most over the years, with BLP doing it I've never had one separate, amazing to watch, it does throw the insert holes off
  7. Delta First Class Sunday morning, no more SWA to PBI from BHAM, really sucks. Appointed driver thank you Southern Region
  8. Thanks for the correction, it is Wilmington, yes I would love to see a Nationals site, there was once discussion about buying lakes behind the current headquarters which could have been developed into a Nationals site (Not lake Jimmy Grew). As Keith said AWSA should be the body responsible for this event, sad thing is AWSA can't vote on the content of the Nationals contract or see it, just ask USAWS Executive Director Bob Crowley he will not let a AWSA board member see the contract, as was requested earlier this year. I'm not sure why anyone would want to host this event, God bless Charlotte and her crew for stepping up for about the 15th time, but they definitely need a break, whether it's a Nationals or Regionals it totally consumes the host club for most of the summer, and who wants to do that year after year. Labor Day sounds great and would keep me out of Dallas the next two years. Just sayin
  9. Like I said we will be in Joilet the next two years, WPB is through doing the Nationals, there worn out with it, the regulars have said enough, just the facts. Nobody wants this event to be quite honest. It's way too hard to make money, to make it worth doing. I doubt you will ever see it back in Bakersfield, although probably the most consistent conditions of any site, due to past situations with the LOC and AWSA Executive committee. After Joilet who knows, we better be looking and begging
  10. Nationals in Joilet in 2016 & 2017 bank on it
  11. Malibu Cup, @aupatking No food? As you said there were very few spectators at the event, the skiers meals were catered, you cannot break even having food at a Regional Tournament, much less a qualifying event on Friday. Porta Johns only 2;That was plenty for the number of people on site, sorry you thought walking 200-300 yards was to far. I haven't seen you at any tournaments, maybe it's time you start doing for the sport, it's always easy to talk about what's wrong and never do nothing, just sayin
  12. I've never let the cost of an entry deter my wanting to compete. What nobody will admit is private lakes have killed this sport, and I am guilty as well, there are no slalom courses on public lakes. Twenty years ago there were 5 slalom courses and three jumps in Tuscaloosa county alone, now there are two courses, neither are on a public lake. The access to sites, the cost of boats, has driven this sport to near death.
  13. From what I've seen this year at tournaments water skiing is dead, look at the entry list (subject to change) for the Southern regionals, without Florida you don't have 80 skiers. 4 for South Carolina, 12 Tennessee, 11 North Carolina, 13 Alabama, I know tournaments have been way down, I wish I knew the solution.
  14. it's a 5.7 we are not selling to get a 6.2, we are selling because we have had it for twelve months.
  15. It's my understanding if no bids are there at the time specified, the bids will be held to the following auction, the minimum is a starting bid the UA is asking, it can go up or down from there, this boat will be sold.
  16. Go to University of Alabama Administration current sale information. This boat will sale

  18. Lake Lurleen is 12.5 miles from the TTSC and LLUSA is 18.5 mile, not much difference, the TTSC wants it on the river, and that's were the event will occur in 2016. My guess is there will be two tournaments at LLUSA: July 2 Saturday 2rd slalom and Sunday July 3rd 2rd slalom, money payout based on the scores at LLUSA. The top 12 will go to the river to ski on Monday. This will accommodate all involved, this year was a learning curve we will make it work in 2016.
  19. One Water Marine Holdings acquires Rambo Marine Boating Industry July 7, 2015 Filed under News ATLANTA – OneWater Marine Holdings, LLC, announced today that they have made a new partnership with Rambo Marine, a Boating Industry Top 100 dealer with locations in Huntsville and Birmingham, Ala. The dealership will continue to operate using its current name, location and personnel and offer Cobalt and Marker One pontoons at both locations, while also introducing those brands to the Singleton Marine location on Smith Lake, which opened in April of this year. “We’re thrilled to join an aggressive and growing organization like OneWater Marine,” said Scooter Rambo, founder and former owner of Rambo Marine. “This opportunity allows us to leverage the business our family has spent the last 28 years building as a springboard for us to introduce some exciting new opportunities to our loyal employees and amazing customers. Our customers will greatly benefit from us being a part of a larger organization that has broader reach and more centralized back-office resources; all while still operating and maintaining the family and local feel that our employees will continue to deliver. I’m really excited that our customers get to experience this with us.” Rambo will continue to operate the dealership as a division of OneWater Marine Holdings, and his son Bennett Rambo will manage the Birmingham and Hazel Green locations as well as the Smith Lake Singleton location. “Scooter opened Rambo Marine in Hazel Green the same year my family opened Singleton Marine just south of them on Lake Martin. For 28 years, our families have operated dealerships in adjacent territories and I’ve always looked up to and admired Scooter and the business he’s built over the last three decades,” said Austin Singleton, CEO of OneWater Marine Holdings. “Rambo Marine is a perfect complement to our existing portfolio of dealerships and represents a natural geographic expansion for us into the Northern parts of Alabama and southern Tennessee.” Rambo Marine is among a number of acquisitions made by OneWater Marine Holdings, which was formed with the merger of Singleton Marine and Legendary Marine, since its inception last year. OneWater Marine Holdings acquired Captain’s Choice Marine in June and American Boat Brokers in April
  20. Hope to see you lake is ready to roll, and it will roll Friday
  21. Great looking and unique trophies/cups. Everything is ready 41 off will fall several times on Friday, this cutoff is going to be around 3@41
  22. Please come, we will have the lake down to around 82-84 degrees by next Thursday, water level is perfect, course is ready to go, with the boats available, drivers, and list of skiers I expect one of the records to fall
  23. Lawsuit? It's really sad that some in our world are so consumed with suing somebody for there own lack of judgment or taking the opportunity to create wealth because they refuse to accept responsibility for the assumption of risk they take with certain sports or activity. If it looks dangerous in your perspective then don't do it. The mind set to look at everything as a possible lawsuit is pathetic.
  24. Only open men 's skier that skied last weekend, Regina, Kate, and Allie, 3 open women
  25. No but this will definitely get it in front of a lot of people, city is 100% behind this event, barge traffic has been stopped, hydroelectric plant will not generate, so no water useage. Beer Garden, wing eating contest, military displays, giant fireworks al with in walking distance, and there are no open beverage restrictions for the day
