  2. On of the best skis I ever owned they just kept breaking I have a half/half BLp used in several pro events, half stiletto and half KD
  3. You're so right Jody despite winds from the Texas hurricane things rolled as did CP and Regina. The two round Malibu Cup prelims should be outstanding. Thanks to Jody and everyone that made this record event very very good
  4. Jack will certainly be missed, how many times we talked about building lakes, he finally asked for the plans for my lake, when I handed him a legal sheet with a rectangle 2 circles and distances written on it he said this will work, next thing I knew we had matching lakes
  5. We're trying the Will Bush Shortline Blue from Keycolor any thoughts?
  6. Dave had the C-4 and C-5 fusion myself, doesn't seem to alter my lifestyle or skiing. Pick a very good neuro not ortho
  7. Make sure if it's your hip, opt for a surgeon that will do the anterior approach. Lucky's had one anterior and one posterior he will tell you the truth. Anterior, no muscle cutting, smaller incision, less rehab, quicker recovery.
  8. Give me the email address I would definitely be interested in the mags I bind into hardback let me know lymanland@att.net
  9. Just like Jody I have several timers and plenty of magnets for those that are interested, slalom course, jump course, many never used, let me know if your interested
  10. Changing the Nationals is not going to improve the membership basis, we are basically a shrinking organization that no longer has the benefit of using public waters for the most part, ask most tournament skiers how many ski on public waters? We have lost that. I do not consider USAWS a dysfunctional organization, it operates well within the confines of a restricted budget. Will a big party really help nationals? I doubt it, when you finally realize the cost to travel/participate have soared, people have more things to do, and quite frankly its to hard to do for most, then you must look at who's left, and what can we provide for that group. Pricing has shut out a majority of the middle class, how many plant workers do you see skiing, that's all I grew up with, now I can't name one.
  11. lpskier not sure where you're getting your numbers but all of the people you just mentioned work, and some do not ski. I see very few retired individuals as judges, drivers, so I'm not sure where that comes from. Doubling up on rooms, not for me, after I've been in a boat for most of the day, I at least want a room to myself. Trying to pick skiers out of competitors would be a nightmare, the logistics of making a nationals run with competing skiers presents enough problems as it is. The real solution is to redirect the source of dependent income that is required by USAWS to things other than the Nationals. I believe it has been over two years since a major sponsor has signed on with our organization.
  12. Freddie may live in the South, and I respect that but he is Midwest, Mark Crone will always be Eastern Region, IMO, our rep is Chris Eller
  13. Well, thank you for listing the consultants, never saw that email, I guess the southern region really has no input on this committee, but then again we all voted against this proposal, so the punishment is fitting
  14. the committee is Mayhew Chair Keith Lindemulder Chris Eller Freddie Krueger Julie Krueger Jeff Surdej Mark Crone
  15. Put the islands in, make sure they're off set so when the boat comes around the island it lines up for the slalom course. We've done 4 lakes like this wouldn't change.
