    Gas Cans

The VP 7.5 Gallon jugs (fluid transfer system) with the Flo Fast pump and cart works great for me. The pump works in both directions and will empty one jug in about a minute. The cart is also nice since I park about 300' from the end of my dock. It is alittle tough to get the full jugs into the cart but saves my back from carring them.
  2. @gt2003 I’m a 15 off @ 32 free skier and bought a 2006 prostar 197 with PP Star Gazer and a mini tower 2 years ago. IMO it’s a super fun boat (some/most will totally disagree) and looks sharp too. The wake may not be perfect at 22 and 28 off (I’m no expert) but its light years better than the 2003 Four Winns 180 that I had before. My son knee boards and loves it. My nephews will wakeboard behind it all day long and my sisters will ski with me any chance they get. My wife is my driver and its super easy for her. We’re on public water and yes you have to keep bow up in big waves so you don’t fill it. If the Price, Hours and Condition are right I wouldn’t be afraid to consider one. Bottom line for us is to have FUN!!
  3. I just had a 4 year follow up with X-rays last Thursday. Surgeon's comments: "Rock Solid, Virtually No Wear and Great range of motion". I have DePuy implants with ceramic ball with polyethylene sleeve (socket).
  4. @Dekes & slalom frog interesting that you both play hockey. I also played. I was a goaltender and that was the main cause of my early hip degeneration. One small consideration is to request surgical adhesive (they my all use it now) instead of staples. You can shower immediately after you get home without worrying about covering up the incision.
  5. I've had both replaced (total, posterior) 4 years ago at the age of 48. I couldn't deal with the pain and not sleeping anymore. After I had them done I wished I had done it sooner. As far as skiing I'm a 15 off guy. Skied the course for the first time this past June. I had to take one year off for recovery. I followed rehab to a tee and have had no problems at all. I ski 2 X a day every weekend. The only thing I can't do is run. Never liked it anyway.
  6. @Razorskier1 you've got it made if your wife is filling the gas cans for the boat. Does she dump them in too? :)
  7. @brooks‌ I'm on the schedule for the week of June 1st. Totally looking forward to it. Are you going to be at the Minneaplois Boat Show again this year?
  8. I'm with @Horton on this one. As the owner of a few gas stations I watch the oil and RBOB markets pretty close and its amazing at the things can cause the market to go up or down (weekly inventories, jobs reports, Geo Political events, weather or just because they can). I have no idea why prices have dropped to their current levels but I sure wouldn't change my long term fuel budget. Just enjoy it while we can!
  9. Check with Son Watersports in Anoka (on Hwy 10) they deal with alot of used Nautiques. I think most them are on consignment.
  10. I've been a 15 off free skier for years not because I wanted to shorten the rope (I didn't know any better) but because that was where the wake was smaller behind my 2003 Four Winns. Last January we bought a MC Pro Star 197 with PP and my water ski world changed. Now I'm obsessed with learning how to improve my skiing and shorten the rope. I've spent way to many hours watching Peter Gloerson's how to videos. Now I Video all my runs and my skiing has improved. I'm pretty new to this site but I totally enjoy BOS. I read all the Threads. Most of the real technical stuff goes over my head but I know one day I will have an aha moment. All of the ADVICE is appreciated. I live in MN so its a long time until we get back on the water. So Please keep the advice coming. Thanks
  11. I have a Hewit Cantilevr lift with a Lift Tech 24volt motor hoist. The system works great. I've had it for several seasons. We had a huge wind storm this past summer that blew out my boat cover but the canopy stayed completely intact.
  12. After having both hips replaced 2 years ago I had to re learn deep water starts this year. I'M 6'-4" 215 LBS 51 years old. One foot start did not work so i switched to two footed start and found after several tries that if I applied more rear foot pressure after few seconds of forward movement I was able to pop right up. My ski is Radar Senate 69". Good luck.
  13. Had a great year. We bought our 1st inboad and skied more than I ever have. Relearned how to get up on one ski again after having both hips replaced. Met Brooks Wilson and bought a new ski from him. My wife became a great and patient driver. Looking forward to next season. Planning on setting up a week at the Boarding School.
