  1. @Jack_Haase my lake is about an hour and half north of Marco Island. 20 mins farther than Eden. I'll be available Dec 20th-30th. DM me if you're interested.
  2. @LeonL We skied the lake for the 1st time back in April and it skied very well. The lake level is up a couple of ft since this picture was taken. We've decided to wait until the 2022/2023 winter season to start our club. But we will be doing ski rides this winter when I'm available.
  3. @LOTW Big Elbow Lake....west of Itasca State Park in Becker County.
  4. Public water in Northern Minnesota
  5. @epnault I'd recognize that bad handwriting as mine anywhere!
  6. @scuppers those boot #s are for a 69. 30.5 for a 67
  7. 1st set ever on our new lake in SW Florida
  8. I'm forming a new club in SW Florida on a new private lake. Have fees stayed pretty steady or increased since this thread was started in 2014? If your club has it's own boat how current is it? @lpskier are LaPoints' fees the same as you mentioned above? Thanks Mark
  9. @MISkier thanks your feedback! I appreciate it. @1skinut the lake is about 50 minutes North of RSW off of 31.
  10. I’m looking into starting a new ski club in Southwest Florida. The lake is new and will be operational this coming fall. Located on 55 acres about 30 minutes from Punta Gorda. The 2200' lake was created by connecting 3 shell rock barrow pits. Our plan is to have1club boat. Here are a few basic questions: • Insurance: Names of insurance companies that provide coverage for clubs. • Membership/set fee: What works best? • How far are you willing to drive to the lake? • Does shared member boat driving work? • What’s the maximum number of club member? • Would you be interested if the club only operated Oct – May? • How important is it to have the newest zero off boat? • What other amenities are needed besides a boat, dock and bathroom? Thanks Mark
  11. @SkiparksKurt Click on the BOS Home drop down menu and look for Google Earth. Click on the link and it will bring you to Google Earth with pinned ski lakes all over the world.
  12. @skimtb do you have the one made for MC? I've had one for 6yrs and it's been used on 2 boats (05' & 17') with no problems.
  13. Performance Ski. I'd get the Orbit.
  14. I had the opportunity to ski both the 2020 and 2021 today. Same lake same driver about an hour between sets. At my line lengths and speed -22, -28 and -32 @ 32.3mph I noticed absolutely no difference in the wake. @Dacon62 I didn't mind location the of the switch either but I will say if you get water up high enough to affect the new location you have more serious problems.
  15. @MDB1056 I have permitted course on public water that can be revoked by the lake association at any time. So I need to be respectful of everyone. This includes boat noise and even the language of myself and ski buddies. I installed a FAE a couple of years and it's been worth every penny I spent on it. Not one complaint about noise since it was installed and no I'm not intrested in an electric boat.
  16. When the PVC coated lace broke the 2nd time I contacted Radar customer service. They sent me a high strength thread lace. I haven't had one break since. I used a large curved needle to get the lace through the eyelets.
  17. It caused me to buy a new ski and boots. I'm quarantined in Minnesota and my ski is quarantined in Florida. At least that's my excuse.
  18. Looked to me like your driver is following the shoreline in a constant state of turn. This makes it almost impossible to get into a rhythm. I would try to find a calm spot away from other boats and rollers. Have your driver pick a spot and drive straight at it. If it's not as long as you want either spin and come back on the exact same boat path or drop and turn around.
  19. @UWSkier Support is definitely not an issue. I feel like I'm working less on the 67 than the 69. I'm able to keep it on edge through the wakes better. Deep water starts are no more work either. I absolutely Love this ski. Yesterday's 1st ever -32 full pass at Eden Ski Lake was not a fluke. I skied at The Boarding School today with Freddie and improved my score. Straight up the line -15, -22, -28, -32 to 1@ -35. I finished with a new PB of 2@-35 32.3mph. I have a 2019 69" Senate Pro for sale.
  20. I've been on a 2020 67" Senate Pro for 7 sets now. I downsized from a 2019 69" Senate Pro. I'm 6'3" 195 lbs. This ski is just flat out working for me. Quicker turns, more angle and way earlier at the ball. I've run more -28's in 7 sets than I did in a year on the 69" and today I ran -32 for the 1st time ever. My settings are stock #s from Radar's website. I ski at 32.3 due to joint replacements.
  21. I've ruptured it on both arms and have chosen to have them repaired. After seeing the pictures of what was cleaned out from around my rotor cuff I was glad I did. I skied for 2 1/2 months before my 1st one was repaired and was getting a lot of bicep cramping. I'm 56 and now using a Power Vest.
  22. Eden Ski Lake in Ft Myers is the closest to Englewood at 1.5 hrs. They are normally closed on Wed.
  23. @skimtb I have the quick disconnect. Remove 2 pins & loosen 4 hose clamps and it's off.
  24. I put FAE (Y-Version) on my 17' 5.7 PS. It's much quieter from outside the boat but not a big change from inside the boat. I also think it uses a slight amount more fuel with the FAE. As for wake I can't tell any difference except for the small spray right behind the platform. @skimtb I can't fold the platform down without removing it.
