  1. Hey Ballers!! I was looking for new slalom handle and was just wondering what is the difference between these two kind of slalom handle. I attached images. One with rope covered with silicone and one with not covered. What is the merit and demerit ?? Thanks!!!
  2. @Chris Rossi Thank you Chris!! I'll try that one!!
  3. @Gloersen I have run 12m and got 2 buoy at 11. I had been trying to fix my dropping shoulder issue but couldn't. I can do good keeping my shoulder level in onside turn IF I try to do but, when I getting in down cause, start dropping shoulder. I still can run 13m though. But If you have good advice to fix it, i'd be appreciated! you can see how I had been doing it since I ran the course for the first time.
  4. @Gloersen Thank you for the comment! Yes I started from factory deep/short setting. Dropping shoulder in onside turn is kind of my style. My vapor comes around even when I do that. So i am not trying to change my onside form because am trusting the ski. Okay! Thanks!!!!
  5. This is my 28 and 32 at 36mph. Not the best pass but my skiing in the video is my average. Hi Ballers!! I'm on 2018 65inch Vapor pro build and skiing with deep/short setting. The number is Length 6.854 Depths 2.522 DFT .776 Wing 9 Boots 73.9cm/29.1in My onside turn is good and off side turn is good as well, but still I think I'm on rear leg through the off side turn. you can see the tip is high in 1,3,5 off side turn. Do you think I have enough tip engagement or i should fix my skiing form? or should change my fin setting to get more tip in the water? I'm trying to read fin whispering but it's difficult to understand for my english level. it would be great if you can give my some advices!! Thank you !!!
  6. @MillerTime38 It's About an hour and half by train. They are skiing in the river so probably not the best skiing condition you may think but it's the closest place that you can ski slalom course. Ok I'll tell them about you!
  7. @MillerTime38 Hi My ski friends are skiing in Edo River. It's about an hour away by train from Tokyo station. If you are interested, i can tell them that you want to ski.
  8. Hey Ballers Let me clear this. It has been extremely hot this summer in Japan. and temperature of water in the Dam where I ski is around 30C/86F. I feel the water slow and the ski bites deep at the turn.( water feels so soft) My ski friends( college skiers) are having Japan Collegiate Nationals in 3 weeks. The site for collegiate Nationals is so sallow/ hot water. Please tell me how that site's condition may feel for slalom This site had 2017 FISU World waterski Collegiate championships Thank You !!!
  9. @liquid d It really is! Jump ramp is under repairing...
  10. It is very difficult to find a place to waterskiing in Japan. But there is one very famous place called "Yabakei Aqua Park" where people can do marine activities such as Waterskiing(all three events), Wakeboard , Towing tubes, wake surfing etc. Yabakei Aqua Park is located in Nakatsu-City of Oita-Prefecture in Kyusyu(South Island of Japan). You can come here to ski all year round(it is cold in winter 11-2) . It takes about 2 hours by car from Fukuoka International Airport. It is surrounded by many mountains, in spring many Sakura(Japanese Cherry Blossoms) blooms , in Fall all of the trees turn red, yellow. Beautiful Place , delicious local foods , nice people There is a big famous hot spring city "Yufuin" not far from here. You will be able to experience wonderful Japanese cultures. If you are interested in skiing in Japan, you are always welcomed to come ski!
  11. Waterskiing community in Japan is not as big as other foreign country. There are 10 college waterski team in Japan and some adult skiers. I think it's about 500 water skiers in total. but Japan is not a flat country so it is difficult to set up the courses or find a place to ski. 90% of skiers start waterskiing after entering college team. I was too. and most of them quite/leave from waterskiing as they graduate college. That makes us difficult to learn or coaching advanced technique (short line, Flying far, Flips, ski lines etc) because nobody can do them. So it is always exciting to see many different skis or learn from high level skiers when we training in foreign countries like US. Many college kids do part time job like crazy to make money for this. We stay 4-6 weeks every year during February and March. My home ski site Bennett's having around 30 japanese skiers every year! I am very curious how you guys customize your ski to improve response, to make comfortable to ski etc. ! For example, I'm using thick soft can koozie to protect my shin and covering front bar with oil pipe to adjusting for my white slalom boots. What's yours? Please comment if have something unique!
  12. @Hockdog @eleeski @scotchipman @Fehlindra Thank you for the comments! it's quite far from Osaka but still you can come here by plane and car easily. also we'll have West Japan open tournament and Japan Nationals etc here this year.
  13. I was checking Radar Graviton trick ski and just realized that 2016 and 2017 has different edge. 2016 has diagonal edge but 2017 doesn't. I attached the pictures(it's hard to tell but you can see the white line on 2016 trick ski)also i drew the edge on the pic. I wonder how this difference make you feel on the water.
  14. @ToddF @Bruce_Butterfield @UWSkier @A_B @bishop8950 @Deanoski @LeonL Thank you for your advices! This is not a private lake so I cannot change the shoreline which is expensive to cost. I am thinking floating car tires is the easiest. but this place is very deep so that also makes difficult to get flat water for all passes. This place is called Yabakei Aqua Park. It's located in Oita prefecture which is near from Fukuoka City. https://www.google.co.jp/maps/place/%E8%80%B6%E9%A6%AC%E6%BA%AA%E3%82%A2%E3%82%AF%E3%82%A2%E3%83%91%E3%83%BC%E3%82%AF/@33.4430927,131.1276265,15.7z/data=!4m8!1m2!2m1!1z44KE44Gw44GR44GE!3m4!1s0x354157a26011f093:0xb60b28a45e9821cc!8m2!3d33.4405132!4d131.1295187
  15. @"Pat M" Thank you for your comment This is where I ski. surrounded by mountains and its quite deep. so its quite difficult to put then along the shoreline..
  16. Hi Ballers! My lake has always some rolls after second pass which makes us uncomfortable to slalom. We are putting some car tires but its takes time to prepare and put them in the water. What is your roll breaker system on your lake? We are looking for easy to put and low budgets system for it!
  17. @TFIN @Mike Gile Thank you! @Razorskier1 yes you are right. But he is currently using quite old one. I hope Pro build will work for him.
  18. I'm letting my friend use my 66 inch Pro Build. My friend runs at 49k(28mph) 52k(32mph) and trying to run 55k(34mph) The ski is set at Factory setting and wing is 9 degrees. Should I leave the wing on (9 degrees) or take it off for him??
