There is another thread on here about growing the sport and this sums it up to a tee. I don't care what anyone says but being out on your boat with family and friends is the only way this sport will ever grow. Have fun mate. Congrats

All boats will be great. Lots of brand loyalty. Fwiw does the prostar have the bow cover with it or is it only the open bow with no cover

Thought I would start a thread for people at nationals to post some pics of the skiing and any new products.

I'm pumped for this years HO release. Already put a deposit on a vtx with the ski shop I go thru down under. Can't wait.

I have faith the end product will be top notch. I spoke to JT about 4 years ago when I was at sunset lakes getting some coaching and at the time he was helping design HOs bindings. Exos were the top line HO back then and I still love mine.

@savaiusini judging that Asher has been on the vtx then I gather it is the premium ski like the a2 was above the s line

Hi @mmosley899 is there any patent on your binding systems as it seems that the MOBS and the OB4 are still identical in operation. To me it looks like OB4 have glitter up their binding system (fancy looking plate and Boa lace boots) but nothing else seems different.

Cmon guys. A slalom course is a slalom course. Will won fair and square. Moomba is a tough event. Everyone has to ski under the same varying conditions. the gates are just as a part of the course as the bouys are. Removing the offside rule in soccer would make it much more spectator friendly(more goals) but it wouldn't be soccer. You could widen the gates but then if Nate missed it by an inch would you then say oh widen them a bit more next year. I'd say 70% of the spectators that watched from the bank haven't been exposed to slalom waterskiing. It wouldn't matter 1 iota if you changed gate rules for Moomba. Look at it this way. You want the sport to expand. People watching from the bank who don't understand why the missed gate passes don't count are most likely researching the ins and outs of slalom waterskiing right now.

Hey ballers. Just wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice on my technique. 90% freeskier at the moment. Just looking to overall improve. Video is at 35off 36mph.

@aupatking i agree with what you say and thats my biggest gripe. HO brought out the exo system which i love also but then abandoned it after 3 years. We are probably a minority who loved the exo system but why change the mounting holes. Will they abandon these new holes after 3 seasons?

Looks poorly designed to me. Maybe someone from HO on here can give some feedback. I don't know why ho has gone to the single centre screw method. They say that it offers the skier to be able to roll the ski over, not push one side down pulling side up. Being involved in mechanical engineering my view is that the boots are still mounted along the same plane so there would be no advantage. I think it's just a ploy to force you to buy their ski if you want their boots. I know they make adapters but they won't be easy to come by. HO make great skis but there other gear is lacking when compared to radar. Go back to standard mounts and put the time and effort into the boots not the mounting system

This new s turn gate that a few of the pros are using looks interesting. Is this only a new technique.

In Aus it is law to have a spotter in all states. And I'm of the opinion it should stay that way. Don't forget that on public water it only takes one dickhead to make a stupid move and you may have to avoid it. In a slalom course I can understand no spotter but not for free skiing.
