  1. Yeah @aupatking! Where are the ARCs?
  2. I'm not much of a skier, but I've ridden both sizes at 32 and 34 mph.. 68" was less physical work for me at those speeds and I am 6'0 200ish.. Someone pretty smart told me it is easier to make a big ski feel smaller than it is a small ski to ski bigger.. Or something like that. @aupatking did you ride my 68 yet?

  4. White 68 here. Purely on looks I'd go white.. But it's a tough call..

  6. Used radar strada boots. If you are concerned about $. The new version of those-the vapor are great also from what I hear. I went from stradas to reflex supershell and R-style. There was a bit of a transition at first, but I feel as comfortable in the new setup as I did in the stradas after 4-5 sets. I still go OTF some, but I let go more often than not if I feel one coming. Just let go... Not worth it at all.
  7. I'm with @Horton with my money being on Nate.. As far as a surprise, @aupatking and I watched a Thursday night tournament at Swiss 3-4 weeks ago and watched Thibaut Dailland take a lot of those guys out..
  8. @aupatking acts like he never falls on his face...
  9. @aupatking that is very very incomplete list.. Checkmate- multiple models of different years. 70s-80s... Baja- 78ish and 80sish Sea-ray- 80s Starcraft-70s G3-70s Allison GrandSport- 1996 I know I'm forgetting something..
  10. I have been there several times and have never been able to leave without buying something.. The staff does a tremendous job... @aupatking who demoed that vapor? Lol.. Seems I saw your ski partner riding it a bit.. Heard he really liked it..
  11. Hey guys, great ski here. Any questions or if anybody wants specific pictures let me know. Open to reasonable offers. It is currently on SIA. Thanks! SIA LINK
  12. @aupatking who the hell has that ski screwed to the wall??? Must be a weirdo..
  13. @aupatking You may have an addiction.... I can't really call it a problem because you did get me up on a slalom this summer. I bought a ski, then a boat, then another ski, then another... Ok, so I may have the same addiction. There needs to be an a2 over between the a1 and a3..
  14. Yeah @aupatking buy it! My son will ride it after she outgrows it..
  15. Think it's in Quincy Fl.. @aupatking should be sponsoring a trip over.
  16. Skied for right at ten sets. Just not the ski for me. Somebody that has some skill and experience could love this ski. Here is the link to SIA with pics. I can send more or specific pics to anyone who wants or needs. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=35303
  17. Well, being a beginner skier who just learned to slalom this summer I would say definitely use a mid-level to start running the course. I went from a Theory making a couple balls in the course while maintaining decent form with few bad habits to an A1. I made a few more balls with the A1, but felt my skiing getting worse. I have since moved to an S2 and having only ridden it once, it seems to suit my skill level and style very well. In my mind, there is more value in maintaining/perfecting your technique on a mid-level before moving up to a top line ski. That being said, I'm a beginner and don't really know any better..
  18. My 99 SN 196 tonight, waiting for @aupatking and I to put a few sets on in the morning..
  19. 69 Radar Theory. I was a similar weight when I started skiing around the first of July. It's been a great ski for me. Has also been a great teaching ski @aupatking and I have gotten at least 5 first timers up on it (including me). Ski is still plenty fun to get out and turn on and have a blast.
  20. My 99 SN 196. That is already in the background on Page1. Interior is rough, but @aupatking found it for me and it was cheap. Very cheap.
  21. Whoever that was that destroyed those gloves must be a beast. I would make him ski everyday this week as punishment. Then this weekend when we go to the event in Tuscaloosa he (I) can buy you new gloves. Fwiw, this is why I never let anybody ever even put on my roadracing gloves..
