  1. Nice pictures. Miss that. Nice boat
  2. Fwiw - 97 SN -The Meloon's had a direct connection to that school.Besides it being a Christian based college one of the last guys I delivered to there was married to a Meloon. My guess would be if that boat needed something CC would've helped out.
  3. Before I had surgery the neurosurgeon told me keep doing what I'm doing. Which at that time was the inversion table, the Rumble roller and other assorted exercise. He couldn't see where it was hurting me so why bother stopping. Did it help me? I can't really say one way or the other. I just had my 1 week post-op yesterday and he told me to start exercising again minus the inversion table for the time being. Take it for what you will the thing that he told me to stop was the running. My feelings aren't hurt. The Inversion table while the idea is thousands of years old it's one of those things where the proof is all anecdotal and there's no hardcore scientific study behind it. If there is show it to me because I couldn't find any. Logically it certainly makes sense. Just ask Roger Teeter. I'll bet his wallet is bulging, not to mention his disc.
  4. @6balls Scot Jones turned me on to this guy - Stuart Mcgill. His book "low back disorders" is not an easy read but if your looking for truth and not anecdotal for true science derived fact check it out. @ktm300 has a guy also.
  5. @6balls I have sympathy for anyone in your pain. How anyone could endure day in an out with that kind of pain is beyond me. My incline sit-up board, CTS rower - got rid of them. From now on - body weight or no spinal load exercise for me. No more picking up that barbell again. I don't even know if I will run again. Simply put - once you hammer your back you don't want to do it again. Exercise as I have known it has to be rethought. YOU HAVE NOTHING WITHOUT YOUR HEALTH.
  6. @6balls I had my microdiscectomy last Thursday. Walked in the door at 10AM -walked out at 3PM. 1st stop to get a donut and then to the cemetery to be sure I wasn't dreaming. Went for a long walk on the beach had a beer and went to bed. My worst problem was reading all the negative outcomes on Spine-health before hand. The most positive outcomes were from guys right here on BOS. Google a question and up pops a a negative story from Spine-health. It's counter productive to what you want heading into surgery. A cup of coffee ( thank GOD for Tim Horton! ) never tasted so good as in recovery. GOOD LUCK!
  7. @Wish Where did you get those buckles from? Those are the best buckles out there. (IMHO) Years ago I believe I got mine from Rollerblade. Are those still available? Secondary what plastic shells are those? Thanks
  8. @The_Krista Hope you guys are enjoying your honeymoon. Congratulations!
  9. @Than_Bogan . I knew I should have clarified that statement. The release units are fine. I think they are the finest out there. 3 parts. How much simpler can it get than 3 parts? The boots blow. Just like those stupid ass boots they just came out with. C'mon Krista's practically in her underwear or less for marketing purposes. You can look at everyones binding designs that release and everyone is still searching for the next evolutionary step forward. It sure the hell aint that boot they just came out with. Everyone wants a solid release and this is what they bring to the table. I guess in lieu of what I just said the Stealth's are better. I must be going crazy.
  10. And once again while while having my back to the wall the issue----Binding Releasability !!!!! Dan just so you know I have the Stealths also - they suck. Read through your initial post. Now reread sentence #2. Reread about 20 times. No matter what you do or say it is a crapshoot. But because I am probably borderline OCD I keep coming back. Is it worth it? I don't know. Is it?
  11. years ago when 1st trying my fogmans I happened to look at my ski and saw that my entire plate had released. The plate was about 20 degrees off center front and rear from the releases. Simply let go of the rope. Could have been painful. Difficult to say what happened to you. When I say I am sorry to you I mean it. Broke 4 left ( LFF ) ankles skiing and 1 right ankle going through my VW windshield. No one wants to hear it but there is life after skiing. ( I saw these classes on TV for ballroom dancing with Fred Astaire and Kenny Rogers for taking up guitar playing.)
  12. @Nando I agree with you. Just thinking about everything.
  13. Life is tenuous at best. Waterskiing what a joke. Why do people have to get injured where you are forced to live a simpler life style to see what you have really been missing in life. I'm no philosopher but after reading a few quotes from Emerson I'm starting to think I have it wrong. Garage full of toys- for what? I deliver to the guy that invented the pacemaker. He hasn't been gone all that long. YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SKI!! NANDO - live long and prosper.
  14. Patent infringement? Gotta keep them Packards quiet. No sense telling Yamamoto were at the front door.

    Connely GT

The only difference is the color.
  16. $700 2015 Connelly GT 66". If I have 10 passes on it that's. it Flawless . It is sold to the Koreans if I choose to do it. I am not worried about the sale to them at all. It costs me no more to sell it to them or you. I can't believe I have to sell this ski. I just took it out of the box only to be putting it back in. I guess for some weird unknown reason I want it to stay here ( US) . I can't understand myself so don't try to ask me why I feel this way. I think it's $46 USPS to Oregon
  17. I am NOT trying to start an argument. I mean come on - now we have two horseshoes. I can just imagine stuffing the tip in an offside turn. I'm quite sure that you will see A performance improvement. But at what cost for safety? I know we have all debated this but not for all the tea in China willI put my feet in those. NFW!!. All we do here is share opinions. It's the same thing with the 3m interlock. It was never designed to release! !!!!. I have got to have two releases on my feet. It's simply flies in the face of common sense. Not that any of us have any common sense. Please don't start badmouthing me it wasn't my intention. I simply see those as unsafe. Nothing you say or tell me will change my mind.

It's incredible- I get more information from you guys than I do the Dr. - " You have a poor back" Really? like no shit- what do you think the ambulance just brought me here for. The rumble roller just showed up after another friends advice. What would I do w/o friends.?
