  1. Agree on the well maintained comment as Priority. 800+ hours and maintained and clean is better then 300-400 hours and a mess. As stated above, Tsc1 or tsc2 nautique are best bet. 94 prostar is really good too (super boat w back seat out for only 2-3 people) and looks good, but will be hard to find in great condition. I don’t care for wake on 95-97 190’s, I like my 94 205 better. If I were shorter than -32 or -35, I’m sure that would be reversed.... I’d look for a tsc2 myself. That was my favorite boat until new prostar. I do ski a tsc1 frequently.
  2. Speed control also means being VERY close to a desired speed. Every time. Also how quick it gets exactly there. No matter how well the twin rig will hold speed, nobody here will be interested if it is 0.5mph off from desired speed and worse yet, if it varies each time a little.
  3. Silvertow Sparkletow Or silvertug, sparkletug Silverstar
  4. Thanks @scotchipman for the pulls. Great site! If anyone is looking for an insanely clean ‘18 txi promo boat this fall, you need to get a hold of Scot.
  5. Two skis minimum. Should be three. Buy three used skis for what you would pay for the new radar. You can go with std rubber bindings and be fine.
  6. I think the issue is speed accuracy. And simplicity of it. I’m pretty confident a large outboard will hold speed decently. Two outboards more so.... The question is exactly what speed is it holding and how easy / quick was it to get there?
  7. I’ll echo @WIRiverRat as I asked earlier too, how can we ski one. Pete, I’ll bet if you picked an evening or early weekend day on some calm water, you could find some “volunteers” on here to see how it works. Maybe even someone on a ski lake would let you drop in. Need to see tracking and speed control for Free skiing and course skiing. Decent feedback on that would help with your interest.
  8. Sorry, more specific, one of the ski school boats....
  9. Considering this. Would love to pm or talk with someone. Or post up your opinion here. Thanks.
  10. Potential trip in a few weeks. During the week. Anyone looking for an extra skier with gas money? Would love to bring the ski. I think I’d be on the south side of town.
  11. Is there usually a 2nd person in the boat? Instead of thruster, how about bolting a canoe paddle or similar on a pivot to the platform to provide additional steering for the boat. I wonder if that would provide enough lateral / steering force? Lighter and easier to store than batter and motor. Also cheaper to try. Maybe a rowboat oar with the pivot thingy attached already?
  12. Timing didn’t work out w John, but cottonwood location is perfect. Anyone else skiing there?
  13. I’ll be out that way in a few weeks, mid week. Anyone want to give me excuse to bring the ski? Sorry if this is in wrong area.
  14. This may Ben a bit mcguver, but, my neighbor has one for a small jet boat that i swear looks like it is made of electrical conduit and a tarp. If you Spent a bit of time, I’m sure you could get something to look decent. Buy a tarp first then make frame to fit it. Maybe buy a spare tarp of same size too...
  15. +1 on the tap. Order online for $12 or whatever and do it yourself. Slow and easy with a little oil. I’ve done it on 2 trucks, I mean odyssey’s. Both were obtained w approx 50-70k miles and 3-5 yrs old I think. Here’s my panda moment - it’s fun to back trailer w odyssey wheelbase. Easy.
  16. I clearly have the wrong zip code! Ice left Tuesday, so closer....
  17. Bobby is no longer at LTS, but I got some spots booked. Thanks again. Hobe and Miami are a bit far for me to be able too sneak in the Schedule. Hobe looks great! Next time....
  18. Thanks all. Looks like chet is booked for sure. Didn’t think April would be that busy? I’ll get a hold of LTS tomorrow. That’s more what I’m lookong for anyway.
  19. Sorry if this in wrong spot - please fix. Anyway, I’m headed down in a few weeks, would love an excuse to bring the ski and some gas money. Anyone? I see a few places for lessons, but this will be first time out for the year, so hoping to just get some pulls....
