  1. Nice to see somebody tell the truth instead of barely used boat needs carb tune up.
  2. I just bought a OJ 304 13x11 to try out it came from a guy at high altitude. He said it helped his boat. Even if it does not give me more top speed it will be better on my engine.
  3. Thanks for the advice. I will do that.
  4. I was told some people on here may have some high altitude prop experience. My boat 1994 American skier TBX, 350-260hp, max rpm 4400-4800. Stock prop 13x13 OJ gets me 42mph @4300rpm Bought a Acme 541 13X12 gets me 41-42 @4200rpm Im considering the 1609 or the 913. I slalom 60% and barefoot 40%. I dont want to completely loose my slalom pull but am willing to sacrifice it a bit to get a couple more mph for footing. I posted on here because I was told there may be more high altitude guys on here. Oh Btw im in denver @5280'
  5. Our lake is pretty small not much bigger than your private ski lakes. We have a course in the back on one side of it. My problem is not that people are surfing/wakeboarding its not my place to judge what you like. Its that there is no respect. We will have 3-5 slalom boats lined up by the course waiting their turn a to ski respecting everyone else water. Then we will have a wakeboarder or surfer blow by us and go back into the course with zero respect for anybody on the water. Thats why I hate them so much if they just shared the water with respect we could all have fun. But for now I just hope all there boats sink/fall off the trailer on the road.
  6. I like my fluid motion set up. Its old and I got it used but it still works fine. From my experience and the people I ski with is that the main thing is comfort. Wileys your foot goes numb in the first 5min. I wanted to feel my foot again so I bit the bullet. But if your foot is comfortable in your boot the wileys is awesome and feels so good for control when skiing.
  7. Did the tournaments take a month to complete?
  8. @bbirlew Idk about the prices but im guessing the technology if it was available right now would cost about as much as your boat.
  9. No it is not affordable. Considering the people that you are trying to reach out to are the less serious and for lack of a better word poorer people. If people could have the money to buy that helmet and software then they could probably just join a private lake.
  10. @TallSkinnyGuy I am getting into 36mph now and have ran it once. 36 and 34 are a big difference so I may need to before 28off.
  11. @ToddL Thanks and its ok. I picked up barefooting a couple weeks ago so now its time to move on to the bigger lakes and do that. Its so much fun. It will never take over slalom but its an awesome way to break it up.
  12. Another question if somebody has a mid level ski when would you recommending them changing?
  13. This last weekend was the last day our lake is open. So the course it out until April 1st. It was sad but I skied pretty well. Ive got alot to work on but I skied some of my best 34mph passes and at the end started at 32mph and went up to 3@36 which is not too bad.
  14. When your buddies message you to go skiing and your sitting at your work desk typing this.
  15. The more I ski the better I am getting anyways. I dont miss them much now. So now I need to focus on the right way to do it.
  16. I think I need to cut out later so that i dont slow down so much. The only problem the faster and farther you are away from the gate the harder it is to hit them. Its like shooting a gun.
  17. @ToddL I like that explanation I have not thought about that. At my gates I have trouble sometimes starting the turn. Its like the ski wont turn. Maybe thats because i slow down too much? I know when I round 2 ball im going about 4 times faster than when I start my turn at the gates.
  18. Iphone in the spotters hands and sometimes a gopro
  19. I think they look like fun but the problem is the money they are just too expensive to just try.
  20. It needs redbull as a sponsor. They sponsor all kinds of cool events. They have so much money to blow put a little down on sking.
