  1. Looks good. From what I have heard you may wanna ditch the 1 hand gate turn. Your right about where I am.
  2. I dont really trust anybody to pull for me and I dont feel like getting hurt. I dont have the time to learn something completely new. Maybe if I lived on a private lake where I could devote an hr a day to it but I dont.
  3. Thanks so much for the write up. That had to take some time. I really appreciate that. While wrapping I have seen a video on how to wrap the proper way. When I try to do that my ski slips out. I think im not doing it quick enough before the load hits. So I have to do it the dorky way. I will keep practicing though. That wake 5 was like my second try. I have been to two tourneys this year so 4 runs. I have scored 810 3 times and fell the fourth time. Im trying to learn a new trick quick to get more points however I can bull dog through something to get more points because 810 is all my tricks I know how to do. On the backroll I would rather learn how to do it fairly close it. Plus with the huge wakes the boats are throwing now days you dont need to go far out and if you do you over rotate. I will work on dryland for the reverse wrap first. I need a swivel ski to practice. Thanks again I have alot to work on now and am excited.
  4. Me too you guys are awesome
  5. That is a better explanation thank you. That makes more sense. Striving for that is going to be the goal now.
  6. Thank for that. That seems pretty easy.
  7. I did some video coaching with Chet Raley. He told me and he used the word lock to lock my knees hips and elbows. Probably because I had them all bent alot but that is the exact words he used.
  8. Thanks for that. That is my biggest problem right now. If I could figure that out It would help me so much.
  9. Just did at 32off bent a pretty good bit. Your right straighter than lots of ppl. But as a beginning skier I just did not understand. I see the difference your talking about but its not straight in the literal meaning of the word. But for most ppl who ski too bent of knees like myself striving for dead straight is probably a good thing it will probably put us somewhere in the middle which is perfect.
  10. found some 404s for him to try to pick up. Is the boot easily modded to fit the 500 or 750?
  11. There is not alot of info online about tricking. So I wanted to post some of the questions about different tricks I have. 1. I do a wrapped Wake O. I am LFF so I hold the handle with my left hand and hold the rope with my right. I cant get my right hand back on the handle it just seems to flair out. I can land the trick most of the time but only with one hand. Its do able this way but I want to learn wake 540s and it is so hard to land. I have the rotation down easy but holding on is not happening. Is there any tips for how to get your right hand on or anything to think about? 2. I have been trying to learn the back roll. If I dont go out far I have better timing on when to throw it but I just dont get the speed and the line tension and the pop. If I go out farther I have trouble timing it and throw it way too early giving my no height. If I ever do it right I am really close to landing. Any tips for how to know when to throw it? 3. Any tips on the reverse wrap. I feel like I need to learn that before I can learn reverse wake back wake front. Thanks again Im guessing @eleeski might chime in.
  12. Thanks for the info. I was so confused about the "straight legs" Because not one video of any pros actually shows them doing it.
  13. What do you search for on ebay? Silveretta?
  14. I see that "straight Legs" Is something you strive for but does not actually happen. So It should be called straighter legs. Glad to know this because I dont think when I pull I could ever completely straighten my legs.
  15. Can you reweld it? Kind of expensive to totally switch because the old boots dont work. Were on a budget here!
  16. How straight are we talking. I cant find one video of a skier that skis with straight legs. Are we talking locked knees? If thats the case im missing something. Alot of skiers come pretty straight legged into the ball but through the turn and out of the turn there is pretty significant bend at the knees especially the back one. Am i missing where the stright legs are supposed to happen?
  17. Dont target fixate. He did that and hit the pad. It could have been avoided.
  18. Good Luck man. Finding a job is tough out of college. They are defiantly not handed out. Looking for a job may be the most discouraging thing. Sending so many resumes out and alot of companies wont even send an email back declining you. Stick with it and be open to different positions and it will happen.
  19. I always have trouble getting the jb into the hole anybody got a good way to do that?
  20. @Wish Thanks. Will do next yearish I will be doing that I guess
  21. Does anybody buy used skis? How would you go about testing skis for somebody who is on a limited budget and 1500 for a ski is out of the question.
  22. Thanks @303Skier was trying to talk jim into getting a 3 blade barefoot prop. Nevermind tho
