  1. @r_maniak Stoked to send you one! Maybe someone else has the same question. If the windshield height over the water were to be exactly the same and both boats were leveled once the unit is transferred, in theory you should not need to recalibrate. However, that will rarely be the case so my guess is that you will always have to make some fine-tuning when switching between boats.
  2. @UWSkier The standard clamps are made for windshields only. The distance between markings are automatically adjusted by the built in GPS. For width, there is an angle adjustment on both markers. The cartridges are good for 25 “buoys”, we have looked at different options for pressurizing the markers and this is by far the most cost efficient. A compressor would be cool but would also jack up the price big time.
  3. Thank you guys! BOS has been fuel for this project since the start and I’m super excited to finally be able to provide this product. Hopefully, it will create a lot of great skiing experiences and make more people discover our sport! :) @mlange I still have not seen any mirror that does not fit with the OffCourse™ mounted. Some models need to be slided a little to the left, especially on older narrower boats but usually that’s not a problem. Seen from above the markers are panned forward which leaves room for most mirrors. @swc5150 Sounds good, get yours here! @6balls That two feet is me being a little late on the start button entering the course. While on open water the OffCourse™ starts with a zero-ball on the left side. That is the indicator for the skier on when to pull to the right to get just in time for the first “real” splash. @Rednucleus We are currently developing our own ball, but before that is finished we recommend using a paintball called Empire Heat. It has a shell of gelatin and fill based on a natural, food-based vegetable ingredient. They are fully biodegradable. These balls retail at approximately $20 for a case of 1000p in the US, CO2 cartridges retail at approximately $0.5 and are good for 20-25 markings. So, one pass through a slalom course with 6 turns is roughly 40 cents. @Stefan Yes! Correct observation, after a certain Swede asked for it we started working on these ;) The new Z-Magazines holds twice as many balls as the standard ones and still fits under most biminis. This way balls and CO2 can be reloaded at the same time. And if you feel like it you can ski til you drop. They will be available on the website in a couple of weeks. Also, watch Marcus Brown lay down some turns with his OffCourse™ here! https://www.instagram.com/p/CO0yTP6jjw_/?igshid=2011q85c12lg
  4. Hi Ballers! I get a lot of questions regarding the accuracy of the OffCourse™. I’ve been meaning to do this video forever and yesterday the fixed course on our local lake finally got in the water. One turn buoy was missing but it still gives an idea of the OffCourse™ accuracy compared to a fixed course if properly dialed. This slow-motion video is shot in an Insta-Slalom course at 34mph and with a 7 mph headwind.
  5. @Andre OffCourse we are gonna make some more videos! ? The pandemic and the really long winter here in Sweden has slowed us down but now we finally have some great stuff in the making! The second batch of units reached North America a few weeks back, and I’ve understood that the lakes are just getting warm enough. So, hopefully the first buyers are getting a whole new waterskiing-experience as we speak and can give us some reviews soon! I’m really looking forward to seeing people posting videos on when they are using their units. Thanks for bearing with me! Make sure to follow our Instagram @rodicsinnovation for more updates.
  6. @MattP Yes, we have. In the boats traveling path it is pretty much dead on thanks to the high end GPS that we’re using. And as long as properly calibrated the course width is very accurate as well. @Swerve200 We’re located in Sweden and the ice is still thick. However, as soon as it is gone we plan to shoot a video of a pass through a course so stay tuned! The OffCourse™️ can absolutely be used as a training tool to improve timing but it is first and foremost designed to make those free-skiing sessions more entertaining! Make sure to check out the new FAQ section on our website.
  7. @fsts2k All feedback appreciated, this thread has been of great value to us so far so keep posting your thoughts. @SandSki135 I'm working on future add ons when I got some time over and will look into this as well!
  8. @fsts2k You can remove your OffCourse™ and put it back in the case without messing with the settings. Next time you use it on the same boat you might need to recalibrate depending on weight displacement. That being said, as long as it is properly attached in the exact same spot it was the last time it was used it is more a matter of fine-tuning rather than recalibration.
  9. @Horton Sorry, I did not see your second post at first. You are right, rope length does not defeat the system since everything is where it normally would be. The markers are panned 30 degrees forward to compensate for headwind so the splash hits just in front of the boat driver (if watched from above) at 36 mph. That being said, it is not developed with the 41 off skiers in mind
  10. Hi Ballers, Glad to see that people are waiting for reviews, so am I! ? With the first and soon-to-be second batch shipped, there won't be too long until folks start to use their units and start reviewing them. We will do new videos in April/May, both instructional and inspirational. Until then make sure to check out the updated FAQ section on the website along with the instruction videos. @Horton The splash goes off just at/after passing the second wake.
  11. Hi Ballers! It’s been four years since I started developing the extremely portable water ski slalom course, the OffCourse™. This fall it finally hit the market! The first batch sold out quickly and half the second batch is already reserved and currently in production. I could not be more thrilled! However, running a business in the US from Sweden comes with some challenges. So, to be able to meet the demand comes spring I’m looking for a business partner in the US to better handle customer service, sales and logistics. Whether you have a business in place or not, I am all ears and open for collabs. Interested in being a part of changing this sport for the better? Reach out at: erik@rodicsinnovation.com
  12. @jpwhit One pair of CO2 cartridges is good for 45-50 balls which equals 4 full magazines. As for now it is possible to ski 24 turns before realoading balls and another 24 before changing cartridges.
  13. Hi Ballers! Here's an update. The OffCourse™ has been on the market for a couple of weeks now and we could not be more thrilled! Turned out to be a great group of beta testers, these guys really put time and effort into testing the OffCourse™ and got back to us with valuable information. Batch 2 is in production and we are taking downpayments for these units now. This batch will come with a few updates, some of which are listed below. The firmware is updated with a new calibration program for setting course width. The new version makes it possible to mark three splashes in a rapid sequence on the same side. This way the skier will have a straight line of markings as a reference point when setting width instead of just one splash. The entire trigger mechanism is updated for increased reliability with new hardware and software. An LED is added for feedback on 12V power and GPS-signal. If you want me to set one unit aside for you from this batch, shoot me an email at erik@rodicsinnovation.com and I'll make it happen! Thanks!
  14. @rbuss4 We are currently developing our own ball that we aim to start selling come spring next year. For now, we recommend an environmentally friendly paintball with a gelatin shell and bio-fill which biodegrades completely. We recommend our customers to buy these balls and CO2 cartridges from a US supplier since CO2 can't be shipped by air.
  15. @skimtb Unfortunately, they have not. Still waiting for the IRS to get out of their pandemic related delays... frustrating for sure.
  16. @Stefan First of all, I know you've been on our list for quite some time now, thanks for bearing with us! We will start from the top of our pre-order list and work our way down to make sure the ones that been waiting the longest get their OffCourse™ first. However, the top half of that list is all US orders so all units in this first round will end up in the states. Hopefully, some units in next batch will end up in Sweden
  17. @torontoboater We are currently waiting for our US subsidiary to get registered, unfortunately, the IRS seems to have some serious delays due to COVID-19. I can’t make any promises but we have some products ready to ship as soon as that is sorted.
  18. @skihart It’s impossible to say, the guidelines change every day so we might go into lockdown as well. But for the last couple of weeks, parts for the first batch has been rolling in, filling up the house from where I run this business to the rest of the families joy :) I will update as soon as I have more info. Thank you for your patience. //Erik
  19. @skihart Thanks man, yes I got it for the SN200 but if you by any chance have a 2019 in your storage and would like to help me out it would be awesome :) @Stevie Boy Yes, they are 100% bio-degradable. They break when they hit the water and dissolves within 24 hours.
  20. Hi, I have a question for you guys. I need measurements for the thickness of the window header on the Ski Nautique 200 and the Ski Nautique 2019 to make sure the clamps will fit all windows. Closest one I know is a two-hour drive from here so I thought you guys might want to help me out? Please measure like on the picture, on the thickest spot, preferably with a caliper. An attached picture would be awesome. Thanks!
  21. @skihart Unfortunately, we can't drop a shipping date yet, we'd rather wait than make promises we can't keep. I will drop a date in this thread the minute I know for sure! @moski @AllRightsReserved Thanks for showing your excitement, makes me stoked :)
  22. Hi Ballers, We are excited to tell you that in the past few months, the OffCourse™ has taken several big leaps forward towards production! During the fall of 2019, we got the design finished for the PCB, firmware and membrane keyboard. We put it to the test, simulating over one thousand passes in a slalom course to verify that it has the performance that we are looking for. This January the OffCourse™ went through the rigorous EMC lab tests needed for CE and FCC certification and passed with flying colors. The freeride revolution has never been closer, stay tuned!
