@S1Pitts Yeah I've camped at the Spruce Grove camp site which is just north of that site and even mid summer the columbia is quite cold. Would have been a great spot if it was up and running
This is by Fairmont Hot Springs in BC. Looks like about a decade ago the plan was to build 2 lakes and cabins but it never came to fruition. I reached out to the developer when I heard about this a few years back and he said he sold the property to a logging company. I doubt you could even access it.
A youtube video I found about the project:
I added PP to my 2001 sunsetter lxi 2 years ago. I went with the wake edition S.
Completely changed my experience behind the boat. I won't buy another boat that doesn't have PP
Mostly you can endure it for very brief periods of time. If it was several seconds no way, but 1000lb for 0.01 seconds the human body is capable of that. I remember seeing sports science clips showing forces of skiers and snowboarders landing large terrain park jumps. The force of landing was 2,000-3,000 lb in some cases, but only lasted for very brief period of time.
I ski Right foot forward and I hold the rope right hand palm up. I do this because I have played hockey all my life and I shoot right (left palm down and right palm up) I have tried to ski right palm down but it feels sooooo weird. I just can't do it
Beautiful boat. I just sold my 2001 Sunsetter lxi in September for 29k Cdn. Had 3 times the hours as well. This one is super clean.
These ski really nice also, my 01 you could barely notice the wake. I miss it already
I have seen both the original C4 one in DD form and the newer C6 V drive on shuswap lake. They are all made on the cut diamond/sv23 hull (ski hull) so should be ok for skiing. I would think the older DD would be the best. The newer V drive obviously not as good.
I would try skiing at a higher speed before changing the ski out. If I were to ski at 26 I would literally be sinking and any turn would feel like I'm trying to turn a semi that is fully loaded with no power steering. Try a few passes at higher speeds, 30,32, and see how much more responsive the ski feels.
Personally I am on a 67'' Radar Vapor probuild and I ski 32-34. I am 195lb and 6' tall.
I don't think 65'' is too short for you at all
@Dacon62 @ironhorse I have heard nothing but good things about the VTX's. There was an 08 for sale in Sicamous BC that must have just sold, but they were only asking low $40s which seems like a heck of a price. A VTX is definitely my dream boat. I will start the search in 1-2 years, by that time I will have a 5 and 3 year old which will make getting on the boat a lot easier than it is currently.
@FSSPCat Yeah, that is one boat that will be on the list. Also looking at diamond hull Malibus, VTX, sunscape, vlx etc, tige 20V's. There are some good options out there, just have to find one I love!
