  1. Here's the link: http://www.hosports.com/hardshell-boots-demo.php Also, it was stated above, but the transition is a bit tricky. This is in part because there isn't a canting system in the hardshells, like ski boots do. SO... when you put one foot in front of the other, the shin leans a bit to the hip, and puts pressure on that side of the boot. I have rotated my rear

I have rotated my rear foot out a little (yes it rotates my hips) and that helped with the transition.

  6. @Bruce_Butterfield I am painfully aware... just looking for my sanity.
  7. I didn't read through every comment here (while at work), but plan to. I believe that HO does the demo program with their syndicate hard shell boot.
  8. Really a simple question... are sandals shoes? This is to help settle a discussion between my better half and me.
  9. @savaiusini - I have recently picked up a Carbon Omni, other than the physical specifics of the ski, how are the skis different? (ride feel, etc.) Super excited to use my new toy, and seeking all of the info I can. Thanks!
  10. Well, this arrived yesterday!!!
  11. I am sure some of you out there have tried both, what are your impressions?
  12. I am with @ALPJr on this one. The boat is the same Nautique i have been skiing behind since high school, still running like a top. As for ski equipment, I have been leaning toward HO, because the rest of my family has Radar, and i find it silly to buy the same ski my cousin has, and I ski with him about 50% of the time. How did I pick HO? it fell in the sweet spot of affordable, quality, and availability.
  13. How is the Omni performing?
  14. @DonT - When the water is of the solid variety, I continue to search for it. I look specifically for it in the crystalline form on steep mountains

    CX vs TX

Thank you all. I was referencing the Theory, because i have used a friends in the past, and didn't find it responsive enough. I was concerned that the TX was about those widths, and was concerned with the extreme stability that came with the Radar. I don't necessarily need a surfboard like that.

    CX vs TX

@Chef23 that is very interesting. I thought I read that the CX was more similar to the Senate. Anyone else have some input on this?

    CX vs TX

Perhaps, here’s a question. Is the tax equivlant to the radar theory, or is it more slender?

    CX vs TX

To be fair, I have a CX, and as seen in my previous posts, I have switched to hardshell boots, as a result of/to further prevent injury. Skiing on the CX is a bit aggressive, and causing some pain. I am looking to slow down a bit, to get used to the new equipment. I am trying to decide if TX (The Texas sized CX) is the right move, and wanted to know the width difference is. Ultimately determining how fast i would be out of the ski, and if there is a big performance gap between the CX and teh TX
  19. Does anyone know the width difference between the HO CX and the TX? I can’t find anything online

    HO fins

Thanks! What does that do to performance/stability?

    HO fins

What is the difference between the HO Comp Fin and the HO Hex fin?
  22. As a follow-up to this thread, I was finally able to try out the new set-up over the weekend. WOW, the experience is extremely different with the hard-shells. I felt like it set me back quite a bit. I suppose a couple more runs, and familiarization with the new boots, I will be back to my old (and often broken) self. Thanks again for all the info!
  23. Is this price point way over priced, or is it too late in the season, or is there generally no interest in this setup?
  24. During the recovery of my ankle injury, I have had time to look through all of the pics and vids that were taken over the summer. I noticed that I plie (bend my knees out in opposite directions) quite a bit on my weak side cut. I am assuming this is sloppy form. So my questions are: 1) Is this at all common? 2) What should i do to correct this? 2a) Would rotating the RTP one way or another help this?
