  1. He's never learned bad habits for most of his skiing career and had to relearn how to ski correctly. Growing up in a talented family and having year round access to the best equipment and ski site probably helped some too. Saw him ski at the Masters this year... great skiing for such a young guy.
  2. I had a similar situation at a C tournament year before last. I pulled late and ended up inside of 6 ball @ 35. When I sat down I said "Wrong time to pull up short on 6". The boat judge said both towers called 6 so it was a good pass. I replied "No. I know I missed 6." We went back and forth for a second and he replied "Well its going down as 6 you might as well cut to 38". I did and when I got around 3 ball I realized he forgot to cut the rope to 38, so I just gave them a smile and a wave and pulled over to the bank and took a 6 no continuation. Tough sometimes but thats what the judges are there for.
  3. Or try this thread, The Optimal Slalom Boot, and modify that classic boot. Just trimming away the plastic around the top of the lower cuff will help it tremendously.
  4. How can you turn that far past 5 ball and still run the pass? Crazy impressive!!
  5. shoot me a pm. I'm with the MCWSC and we'd love to give you a pull when you come through. If the water is too high at Percy Priest we can head down the road to Swerve. Safe travels!
  6. Hey @MattP bring some to the Whitestone Thur tourney. I'd like to buy a few of them and give em a shot.
  7. Anyone hear about how the pro's feel about this format? Looks like an awesome event. I would think they would like it since it changes things up a bit.
  8. Is this the "stivot" you refer to? Pushing on the rear to slow the ski and bring it around very quickly but only for a split second?
  9. If you can turn on the back, bring the tip up and then get it back down and accelerate I'd be smoking Nate on the pro tour. Not sure I'm riding with this one. No doubt Marcus knows his stuff but I believe he's messing with us here.
  10. Thx guys. I will try and follow up tmrw with your suggestions. I knew where to turn and was not disappointed!
  11. I have a buddy who lost his left arm below the elbow and has been looking for another skier who may only have their left arm to swap gloves out with. Obviously he only needs the right one. Just throwing this out there for him. He is a medium.
  12. Jeez guys... who gives a rats fat a$$? You want to buy a $190 rope.. go for it! A $70 rope.. sure thing. So what if ML is coming up with a different name to sell ropes cheaper? S-lines has done a great job of entering the market and bringing a just as good or better product at a helluva better price! Support who you want.. its a free world. For now anyway @JackQ is right on. Here's a top level skier skiing all kinds of ropes and not feeling much if any difference at all. Thanks again S-lines. And I'll venture to say get ready for some new handles...
  13. @Horton ...... and a little more explanation please.
  14. Buy one and try it... you won't be disappointed. Met the owner this weekend, a really good guy who's passionate about what he does. Its definitely a great rope and an even better price.
  15. Don't worry.... The president will take care of it. 80 million people can't be wrong
  16. Great rope! Received mine last week in prompt time. Ordered the stiffer one and the medium. Feel great out of the box- no prestretch. 35 feels pretty good and getting a few looks at 38. Rope is right there with me. Thanks again S Lines!!!!! btw... originally charged $140. Started mine at 28.. got a refund of $20. Awesome service.
  17. @adamhcaldwell I agree with Horton in that is also what I'm trying to do is stop falling over and to the inside after CL but figuring it out is tough. Any pointers?
  18. Looking a little further.. and getting more advice.. now thinking the C setting may not allow for that swing into the buoy line due to coming off too soon. Did ski C2 today and should have run my 35s. Felt great. This is obviously still an experiment to find what works for me but still like reading the feedback from others.
  19. well crap.. there goes the price.
  20. @The_MS you're not heavy enough to pull the boat down! :D
  21. @lpskier looking at the chart for ZO it seems the A setting comes on latest while C will come on earliest. Again just thinking the boat will maintain speed and not slow down as much on C.
  22. @Deanoski what is the thought process and settings you use from boat to boat? @lpskier I have noticed the A2 setting being used quite a bit. Adam Cord even mentioned once before about staying away from the C settings due to it dropping too much and having longer to catch up. I'm not 100% this was his meaning but how I understood it.
