  1. @bishop8950 don't get my hopes up! Thanks alot guys. Still riding the high
  2. WOW! Thanks guys! It definitely was a huge milestone pass for me. Still seems surreal. I'm even more impressed by the positive comments from BOS members! Probably the second best part of running that pass. Thanks everyone
  3. Didn't mean to hijack the thread but since we are bragging on Denali..... just threw that out there.
  4. Chalk up another PB on the c-75....... ran 38!
  5. @Clydesdale I'm just under 210 and ride a L. No problem. Before I was on 68" skis most of the time, actually was riding a 68 c-65. It has made me a more consistent skier and ran several PB's this year. The only thing you will regret is not getting one sooner.
  6. +1 on the top notch customer service. Nice to know I have support and that I'm getting the right information. I have skied into several PB's this year in tournaments thanks to both Adams. 38's a$$ is grass next year!!
  7. I hope this is a joke. Id kill for some 80 deg water. Skied yesterday and pulled the course in low 60 water wearing a Stokes 3/4 suit. Not bad. But a sad sad day indeed.
  8. What is the thickness of the G10 plate? 1/8? I'm assuming?
  9. I usually pick out a weakness or something I'm struggling with and work on that. I'll dig through these forums and watch alot of YouTube ski videos and hone in on that one particular thing I'm looking to improve. Leave everything else alone and go ski. Has helped me alot over the years.
  10. @ballsohard Thats it! great thread. Alot of info there
  11. The kicker "recipe" that Caldwell uses is borrowed from the GOAT himself (Mapple). He took a Wiley RTP-cut the rubber padding off of it (footbed), put grip tape in it's place, and moved the strap back so it will hold better. Interesting story of how they were skiing with him and blew their rear boot out, used Andys modified rtp and was back running their regular passes after a few attempts. Went home and tried all the rtp's they had and could not duplicate the results. Forgive me if I left something out but thats basically the gist of it.
  12. Theres a great thread on here about this. High rear vs RTP. Wish I could find it. Caldwell talks of a RTP "recipe" that Mapple used. I have tried it with little success but will revisit it again over the winter. Trying to get off my back foot more. If you can find the thread give it a read. Very informative. Anyone remember it?
  13. @MDB1056 I hope so. I agree it's too small for me also or i would keep it for a backup handle.
  14. I have an InTow I ordered for a buddy but forgot to order a bent handle. It is Spectra, all grey, 12", .942 diameter, straight. $100 and I'll cover shipping if anyones interested.
  15. Nice place to ski. A group of us from TN come ski there in the winter at Luckys and on really windy days will come there. Love the chain of lakes.
  16. About time for a review Horton. Lets have it.....
  17. @Mike Gile yes. According to Caldwell you need to stand tall all the time. Think of an athlete deadlifting.. they are trying like heck to stand up and move their shoulders away in order to lift the bar. Same with skiers trying to maintain or hold onto the load. This also helps with getting the hips up. Something else to think about as well is staying within what he calls the fall line. Essentially it is directly over the ski, centered over your bindings. Not forward, back, left or right. Stand tall and stay there. It will help.
  18. Looking forward to this one! #adamcaldwell should chime in here. He talks of getting your shoulders as far as possible from the ski... not the water, in order to help get the hips up. It's helping me get closer to running 35 more.
  19. @OSSKI please give us a chance at subscribing to it or donating to keep the ads off of it should it be necessary to do that. I hate seeing ads. Love the app! +1 on adding + for the bigger guys who use it. Thanks
  20. @Skierx I would really like to see @adamhcaldwell and @AdamCord sell the heck out of skis and make some good money with this. On the other hand it'll make more skiers more competitive and keep them ahead of me. :'(
  21. Again I agree with the boats history it has seen some use. However it is the lack of workmanship on things that should have been covered long before it left the factory and non-answered emails concerning them. We certainly don't expect a boat with that history to run flawless and not have any breakdowns. The boat was well taken care of and appeared to be in above average shape. Its the underlying (what is hidden underneath all the pretty fiberglass and carpet, no response from Malibu) work that really sucks. Just our experience and hope no one else goes through it.

This would have been absolutely cool. Another cool thing about this awesome sport is helping a fellow skier out and something like this would only add to the fun, plus you would be getting to ski at some awesome places along the way and put faces to screen names. I will probably look at doing something like this when I retire in about 5 yrs.
  23. @skialex that would explain it and make it alot easier to believe.
  24. @buechsr yes he did buy it used. A former pro skier had it then a ski school so it had some use on it. However even with all of that... the bottom line was the total lack of craftsmanship and simple problems that should not have happened. Again I understand normal and even above average wear and tear but the problems found after finding one which lead to another is just unacceptable from that level of boat company. Or any of them for that matter.
