  1. Congratulations to TWBC for all the great webcasts this season. The skiing was great, and thanks so much for bringing that to us. The announciators were great, the video was great, and loved the insightful commentary and skier interviews. Thanks so much. It's much appreciated. Hats off to the TWBC Team. Looking forward to 2022.
  2. That's a great forecast chart. Where can I find it? Thanks.
  3. @Cnewbert From the picture above, it looks like the GoPro may not be exactly parallel with the Ski-Doc Orbit. It looks like it's facing left vs. parallel. You will notice that, if the skier is closer to the edge of the video on one side vs. the other. Hope that helps. PS: For now, I am filming with the GoPro Hero 9, Ski-Doc Orbit, and I use the GoPro Quik app to crop the video afterwards (it must be saved to your phone/tablet first. This is the same as using zoom while filming, but when using the GPS speed trigger, the zoom function is not available. At least not on the QR Control app.
  4. @Fastguy888 How did the GoPro 9 work out for you? Did you find an optimal mix of mode, lens, fps, zoom, hypersmooth, etc.? We just upgraded from the Hero 3+ to the 9.Thanks in advance.
  5. Good question. I’m not the expert. Below are Hero 9 pictures. The heading says “lens”. The zoom is digital, and is a different setting.
  6. We're still on a GoPro Hero 3+, and the below is the narrow setting. That's the one we've been using for years. We have the Ski-Doc Orbit for mounting. We are upgrading to the Hero 9 now, and will be testing out the narrow and zoom settings. We have the remote control start/stop with the 9, so the driver can wear it like a watch and start / stop at the green balls. After testing that, we'll try the GPS speed triggers. Hope this helps. And we appreciate suggestions for the Hero 9's best ski video settings.
  7. @jpwhit I go to Germany for business regularly, and bring my gear along. The club's contact details are on their website. Contact them the next time you go.
  8. Last week I had the pleasure to ski at the brand new Club Ski Nautique in Schwandorf, Germany. It just opened this year, has about 35 members already, and skis great. Co-founder Michael Sprang provides great coaching. Wind protection is also very good. They will ski well into November. It took 3 years to get the necessary approvals; it is Germany after all! And yes, the boat is a Malibu, and not like the club's namesake. https://www.clubskinautique.de (You can see the lake when you Google Kieswerk Klardorf in satellite mode. It's to the left, beside the road.) The solar installation is 90% complete, and the permanent washrooms will be complete by end of year. The club has close ties with T-Gas' Italian ski school and San Gervasio in Italy. Several members also ski Florida in the winter. Make sure to look them up when you are in Germany. Thanks again to the club for the great comradery and skiing. It was a lot of fun.
  9. I have an iPhone XR. Have had little success with stable video, with Wakeye or without Wakeye. We are using the below Ski Doc Orbit setup. Have tried low quality video settings, and high quality video settings. Always with the rear camera. Any assistance is appreciated. (Our GoPro Hero 3+ does a much better job.)

  11. Does anybody use a remote start / stop button for the phone camera video? Maybe mounted to the steering wheel, and the driver hits the button at the green balls? Probably just have to increase the delay time so the screen doesn't power down. 13. Any luck with Mango Lake (Brandon FL) connections and course skiing? We'll be starting our monthly FLA rotations in September, to Lucaya Lake Club in Riverview, just south. Thanks.
  14. RIP Charlie. We'll miss you, and the music will live on. It's timeless. It's so great, that the Stones are still together and still touring. Amazing.
  15. Has anyone tried the Syndicate dry‑flex wetsuit top? It seems very similar to the Camaro Blacktec. The back zipper may make it easier to put on. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
  16. Check with Ruth at Ski Paradise in Mulberry. Some northerners bring their boats there in the winter. And there's typically skiers without boats and pay per set.
  17. @UWSkier They fit very tight for me. And are thin. Maybe there is a new thicker version out now. Not sure.
  18. I use the above cutter and below as liners. Together with tight fitting gloves. Haven’t had issues in a long time.
  19. Callous cutter tool which works great to shave off the excess skin.
  20. A shock tube should help to prevent that.
  21. We use a GoPro, and use the old fashioned button to start and stop.
