I have a 2009.  Drives great and skis very well - I have video of 34/-22 through 34/-32 if you want to see the wake.

But, my boat does not have the bow rails and it has Zero Off (the boat in the pictures has PerfectPass).  I am questioning the year of your boat as well, due to those differences.  Plus, I had thought it would have the catalytic converters as well and the picture does not look like they are present.

Check the hull identification number.  It will tell the month and year it was made.

I hope to check later.  From looking at the instrument cluster and comparing with old Malibu manuals, this looks like a 2004LX.   Any thoughts on price?

  2. I would appreciate any thoughts or experience with the 2012 Malibu Response LX.  Pricing suggestions would also be helpful.

While looking at a house yesterday, the realtor let me know that the owner is very interested in selling this boat along with the house.  He is the original owner and the boat has 430 hours.  This boat has been pampered and looks practically new.  Lives in an air conditioned garage.  Detailed regularly and has no visible blemishes.  You could eat off the engine.

    3.  I'm not sure what this type of open bow is called without a walk-through, but I don't like it.  Do you lower the center windsheild and have people climb over the dash?  I've never seen that and do want an open bow.

  3. I just spent the long weekend skiing with my new to me Goode Wide Ride.  I'm impressed with the performance of this ski.  It seems very fast to me and also turns very quickly on both sides.  A significant step up in performance from my Connelly Carbon V.

Most important to me is the ease of my deepwater starts.  I almost put this post in the other thread for this reason.

Hi Mitch great taking to you today. Anyone can call or text me if questions 248-515-0012

Thanks for reaching out Mitch hope you can shoot up soon for a ski. You’ll love the boat.

Wrong Mitch.  We didn't chat today.

How many hours?  Any more photos?  What information was normally displayed on the non-functioning center screen?  Did Tommy's give you a price for replacement?

  5. I just tried to buy this ski.  The link on SIA returns messages from someone named Shane Davis in Tuscaloosa, AL.  The OP on this thread is Mark Guilfoose from Williamsport, PA.

I'm not sure what to make of all of this.

Yes, that is the "Starting Price" as listed on their site.  They don't list the additional costs of the different engines, paint options, covers, seat cushions, etc...

What does one usually pay out the door for a new one?

@MitchellM You are in good company with Scott Ellis as a neighbor!

I have a friend on Julianna (next-door) who's getting into skiing. He has a '10 Response LX. There's no course on Julianna, but I can ask if he's interested in ski buddies.

I hope so!  Some serious skiers on Tennessee.  I looked at several houses on Lake Julianna but decided in the end that the lake was too big and windy.  This has been a tough decision without being able to experience the various lakes first hand.

  8. I just bought a house on Lake Tennessee.  My quest for lakefront living with course access has finally come to fruition.  Thanks for all the guidance here and behind the scenes PMs.

Now I just need to find a boat and change out the cradle on the lift (pontoon boat cradle there now).

@swc5150if this boat is in fla that attic will not work. The boat will be gone either here in Florida or Michigan.

The boat is in the showroom here at Action in Orlando.

Boats are not moving as fast as they were.  Throw out a price and see if they bit.  You can always walk away. There loss.

I'd like to do that, but I'm wondering what a reasonable number would be.  Several new prostars on onlyinboards at $120.  I might bite at $110

  11. Strolled through the Mastercraft dealer yesterday where a beautiful Prostar sat in the showroom.  I am in the market for a boat, but thought only of buying a late model used boat.  When I asked the price, I was told $140k for the boat but that the price was negotiable.

Realistically, what's the price of a new prostar from a busy dealership?  They would obviously like to move a boat they have sitting in stock.  I might be interested in buying if the price was right.  I had foolishly hoped this would not be as painful as buying a car.  Sadly, I was mistaken.

I gotta Agree with RAWski on this one. The weekend totally sucked. I got the chance to not only chat with Regina shortly after nailed the #1 seed for Sunday and how she totally forgot to put on her "heater shirt" shirt because she was so fired up about skiing to chatting with Nate on Sunday after the opening ceremonies. He took the time to sign autographs and take pics with folks on the beach and we continued our chat about how he ran 39.5 in such crappy conditions (which I saw from the pavillion) and his personal goal is to break Andy's record. I didn't want to keep him too long as I knew he needed to start focusing on his runs. What a finish and with #7 he's halfway there to tying the GOAT.  Then to cap off the weekend on finals day I witnessed and experienced something you'll never see in in other sport. JT and Will towed the ramp to the beach and just the two of them starting the disassembling process. WTH??? That's almost the equivalent of Peyton and Eli taking down the goal posts after the superbowl. I walked over and asked them if they could use a hand and they said " Sure, That would be great!" got the chance to meet and help both these guys take down the jump ramp. Holy crap!!!!! I've helped Jody do it a few times but didn't expect two Masters champions to be tearing it apart. Got as far as we could. They shook my hand and said thanks for the help then off they went.  Chatted with other legends of the sport all weekend, nice chat with Tyler Boyd and the nice change by the addition of Jerrod in the booth.  Been going since about 94. This year was an awful experience.

I had a great time this weekend at my second Masters.  The wind was a bummer, but I love how the stars of our sport are so accessible and personable.

@bananaron   Not the year your friend is looking for but my good friend has his 2021 200 for sale.   SIA:  66679.  Boat is fantastic boat.   Well cared for.  His new one is coming or perhaps already here and he is motivated.   He’s down to $69K.

For a couple grand more, get newer boat with less hours.   Color scheme is gorgeous.

    Check it out.

    Good luck.

@Buxrus I've been pondering Gary's boat.  I'm also in the market for a newer Nautique 200 open bow.  Solid price.  I need to give him a call as I was wondering why he was selling.
