  1. After I saw this thread, I went out seeking a used Goode Powervest and wow you guys are not kidding about this, it works awesome. Found one for $300. The straps take 100% of the load out of your shoulders, so I went from not being able to ski probably for the rest of the year, to really having no worries almost.
  2. @keithh2oskier I am pretty sure this is exactly how I dislocated my shoulder, it was more the impact of hitting the water with my arm extended in an odd position rather than being ripped out by the handle or something. Honestly its hard to tell in the split second that it happened.
  3. As someone <30 who just dislocated my right shoulder, I am happy that a product like this exists. Small price to pay for potentially not being able to ski again, down the road.
  4. As soon as I signed in it said that this website was involved in a data breach, not sure if that is actually true. Thank you for starting mobile, I love ski-it-again and use it all the time. Also donate yearly or more depending on how much stuff I sell, everyone should do the same!
  5. @T-fromTO What payment method did he choose to use?
  6. Patiently waiting for the S-Lines ergoroll handles to come out.... 💀 Really happy with my rope I got from them!
  7. @Maxsend Sorry if I missed it, but what pylon mount do you use? Your videos looked really good, others I see with a ton of vibration and basically unwatchable.
  8. Yamaha has announced they are no longer selling snowmobiles after 2025, who is also an engine supplier for arctic cat. This is probably a reason among others that your friend sold. About boats, I am wondering if they increased employees during the boom and if they are simply cutting back to pre-covid employee number, or if its deeper. Another question related to cutting boat production rates, how necessary is seventeen (17) different wakeboat models?
  9. Why did you change it if it ran fine? I feel like I have seen this boat for sale for quite a long time and was curious why its been so difficult to sell.
  10. If you can't find a service manual, just reference any torque spec sheet online and apply torque based on fastener size and bolt grade. Get higher grade fasteners if you're concerned.
  11. As an engineer I would have guessed you would have taken measurements after each addition of sound deadening to determine the deltas, instead of all at once! Just kidding by the way, I am going to try the insulation. You know how you can tell when someone is an engineer? They tell you! Source: I'm also an engineer.
  12. 95 to 60db with 1" acoustic foam, 2nd layer of sound deadening, and re-adding mufflers (which most likely had the biggest impact).. But point taken. Thanks.
  13. My boat has never had any insulation in the dog house, how much of a difference does it really make?
  14. Sorry if this is a stupid question but what makes paddle wheel better for river? Doesn't this cause the boat speed to be different depending on going up or down river? I would have thought true boat speed is the important factor, not water speed.
  15. What is the front release setup here, is it just the standard reflex or has radar not quite released their version to normal people yet?
  16. In terms of flotation, if you're a person looking for middle ground between a useless comp vest and a USCG vest, would it be accurate to say this is probably the best compromise?
  17. Sorry I do not know if this is a known issue or not, but when searching google "..... ballofspray' when doing research on something, clicking on any of the ballofspray links just brings me to an error page.
  18. LOL @ $389 for Hockey equipment per year. Stick that your kid is gonna break one per month, are $250 each. Skates, which your kid is gonna need one pair per year are $900 and those are prices for junior sizes. Because we all know you won't be able to hold off getting them anything but the top of the line stuff. Currently thinking about all this as I have a baby boy on the way, and I played a very serious amount of hockey all my life. Cost is one thing, time is another. Going to be a tough decision to make for the level of involvement here. If you want your kid to be good at hockey, it needs to be a year round life commitment and I don't know if I am going to want to put up with that the same way my parents did. It is a LOT.
  19. @KRoundy not hard to believe when looking at Mastercraft for example, 16:1 wake barge : ski boat model lineup ratio. Pretty easy to see what the industry is like. Not to mention obviously most manufacturers don't have a ski model at all. Cheapest wake barge MSRP: $105k. Does that even include a trailer? Yikes.Prostar $121K. Sweet, man I am priced out of even buying a 2022 PS probably until at least 2050 lol. I don't even feel comfortable participating on Teamtalk these days because I feel like a poor that doesn't belong.
  20. Pressing the go button on a comp rope the second they drop on the website with the freshly announced length sleeve markers.
  21. Well, someone on here had one sitting in a box with version 9.2, so I snagged it. Thanks to all that reached out to me.
  22. A couple years ago, me and some friends and family members purchased I think 8 skis total + some bindings off The-House. They were a little bit older models, but wow how can you beat 80% off for brand new skis? Some VTR's, some VTX's and also some of the beginner models like the linked one.
  23. @BraceMaker this is going to be installing a totally new system because the current is the SteadyPass system. It worked awesome for first starting out but now that I am more serious, its not quite enough. Served its purpose, but its time to get the goods. It's just 3x as much.... It's apparent to me that a used system is very difficult to come by because there really is not a reasonable alternative or upgrade past this unless the person is going to repower to get zero-off.
