  1. Long-time alpine skier, new to slalom over the last 3 seasons - with winter around the corner, is there anything you do on the slopes that helps you when you’re behind the boat?
  2. @mags88 what kind of boat are you skiing behind? Wider platform of the Union would probably be a bit more forgiving for a larger wake. Otherwise, Senate. Track down a Graphite (some good deals on ‘22 69’ vector packages around right now). Gives you the adjustable fin and a slightly stiffer layup. Def a bit more room to grow.

  4. A bit off thread I realize but is there anyone in northeast looking to sell a portable course? I’m located in CT, and would be willing to travel (within reason) if a deal could be worked out. Just throwing it out there since it seems like shipping isn’t realistically an option and sounds like neither is a new EZ ?
  5. +1 for USPS. Consistently the cheapest and fastest I’ve found.
  6. +1 for Domed Numbers. Just recently purchased some Malibu specific lettering reg numbers and they look fantastic. High quality as well
  7. @Horton what bindings are you running for Buford on the TRA?
  8. @Rednucleus currently on a 67’ syndicate omega max (I’m 175lbs), which I’m perfectly happy with. But, I have access to other skis that would probably be considered more mid-level - I was just wondering if they may perform better at reduced speed since that seems to be their design intent and usually marketed as such, as opposed to say a syndicate build or pro build, which tend to be marketed as 32-36mph sweet spot. I say, and question all this all knowing that my ski is the least of my problems!! @scoke @Horton that makes sense.
  9. Newer skier trying to get my body position (stack) consistent and correct across the wake. I have determined (for me) that slowing down the boat (28-30 mph) is the best way to accomplish that. The consensus on the forum seems to be if you have access to a higher end ski, you should ski it. I’m wondering if this is true at lower boat speeds that aren’t necessarily intended for a 32-36 mph ski. Or, should I be investing in something a bit more intermediate while trying to dial in my form at these speeds? Thanks in advance for the advice.
  10. Vacationing for a week in August - wondering what the ski scene looks like? Any Courses? Preferred spot for freeskiing? Staying along the southwest shore of the big lake.
  11. Just curious - what are you all using for bindings? My son is roughly the same age and weight (8, 50lbs), but has about a size 13 little kids foot. Don’t see him fitting in the textiles that would normally come w these skis.
  12. https://www.perfski.com/ski/slaloms/demo-skis/ho-2021-demo-syndicate-omni-67.html I know you are looking for a carbon but reasonably priced and having had both, worth the extra money for the syndicate version.
  13. Healing Back Pain: The Mind-Body Connection https://smile.amazon.com/dp/0446392308/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CPER963HV36QFRWBWGAW Certainly not suggesting that your back problem might actually be something physical, and not marginalizing any advice from others, but after seeing orthos and chiros for “mystery back pain” that I would often associate w physical activity, this book has been immensely helpful.
  14. @UWSkier not sure yet. Adjuster going out today to assess. I’m hoping he’s going to tell me it’s salvageable as I do not wish to give it up. From what I could see with only a flashlight it did not appear to be burned, just lots of soot and smoke damage. The fire was in the office area of the shop separated by a cement wall and a 30 foot Regal shielding my boat. @PatM I feel your pain. Probably a bit dramatic in the grand scheme of things, but one of the worst phone calls I’ve ever received. No one hurt most importantly.
  15. When you bring the boat to the shop for gel work on Friday, and get a call Monday saying the place burnt down.
  16. People getting in the bow of your boat and proceeding to step on your front cushion w their dirty ass shoes!
  17. @Ski_Dad this is what my thinking was originally as the pylon measures more than 8’ aft. So according to the website, the 204 would be the correct model. However the site is a bit misleading as the 202 is labeled as “universal”.
  18. Can anyone tell me whether a DELUXE UNIVERSAL CONTOUR BOOM (PART NO B202) would fit an ‘03 Response LXi?
  19. Great insight, thank you. Hoping the 67’ syndicate version becomes available at some point here in the US. Haven’t been able to track one down since end of last season. Should have jumped when I had the chance.
  20. Bumping this thread - wondering if anyone else has spent some time on the omega max (mark II) and could provide some thoughts?
  21. Had a similar issue a year or so back, and thanks to @savaiusini, I had a new ski delivered to my door within 3 days. HO fantastic customer service!
  22. Just curious (and forgive me if this question sounds naive), but why wouldn’t Radar make mention (on its website write up) of this being compatible w a release plate, if that was the intent? I ask only because I intend to buy a pair for the spring and would prefer to mount to a release plate.
