Agreed, especially since we already sign one when we renew our membership each year. The tournament wavier is specific to each tournament and is required by our insurer. Seems like that could be written into the annual waiver to cover all tournament sponsors.

If you have a club full of skiers with no ratings it's a shame. Not unique however these days. Everyone should be strongly encouraged to get or upgrade their ratings, at least in their own disciplines. Hold annual clinics for all the types. And get very proactive about safety as well. Everybody should be doing something during a tournament. The bonus is it's fun for everybody when everybody is involved.

Neither USAWS nor IWWF has it on their home page yet, but you can reach preliminary information through either of their Major Events Calendar. USAWaterSki.org and IWWF.sport will get you there. Women's Slalom Series 1 Preliminaries are on Thurs, the 12th. Mens are on Fri, the 13th. Both Slalom Finals are on Sun, the 15th. Both Jump finals are on Sun too. Lots of fantastic tricking in between. Free admission, free parking, food vendors, TWBC live broadcast. Bring your tent and chairs, enjoy.

That fin block looks interesting. DFT mechanism looks way better. Not that I would be capable, but it looks like you could climb in the boat, make a quick adjustement, no hammering, and go back out there without using calipers.

I don't really care for head to heads either, pass by pass, or set by set, for the same reasons as those stated above. But like I said, head to head and side by side would be fun. With a go pro heli following above, the video could be awesome. I hadn't thought about Okaheelee. I thought one of the European sites might be capable, but can't remember which if any.

I start to ski crappy if I take more than 4 sets a week. I do 8 passes on a set if I'm in shape. If I do 6 passes, then sometimes I'll take a 2nd set of 4 passes. I'm shot the next day, but I'm old, M7.

Interesting that is seems the hackers went after the files we have a hard time living without rather than personsl info files etc. A friend suggested it might be a ransomeware attack. Those files could be gone forever.

If I'm early in the running order. Might get my second and third round about noon. Then I can decide what to do the rest of the day. I don't like it if I'm scheduled late in the first round. Say I ski at 11am, I might not ski again until 4pm.

25 years ago I suffered a partially torn rotator cuff and broken collar bone snow skiing. I water skied that season with a jump sling. I new I couldn't get up and was afraid of overextended my arm. I could still run an occasional 28 off, and at least got to keep sking.

Whatever you buy, make sure you learn about fin setting and binding location and make sure you set yours back to stock. Even brand new they can be off. Also, at your level and speed, take the wing off or set at 5.

I just laid my solar panel on the sunny side of the trailer. Disconected and set it aside with my cover while I had the boat out.

I got a solar unit from an auto parts store. Had it 4 years here in central FL with no battery problems. Battery was a year old when I got the charger and sold it with the boat last summer. I had no power available in the storage area. Replaced the clips with eyelets permanently attached to the battery terminals. It had a quick disconnect in the wire.

Sorry guys on the misspelling. But, yes it is the drive by wire servo. 2006 was the the 1st year, but it was introduced in 2005. Nautique's version was a traditional cable from the throttle to this device, then electronic through the ECM. It tended to become brittle and disintegrate over time, particularly in warm climates.
