  1. So, why then are we still governed by something in which we will never be allowed to participate?
  2. Find out from your neighbor approximately where the 2 courses were located. Then make friend with a fisherman who can help you find the anchors with his fishfinder graph.
  3. I think the Shell Rotella 10w30 was the OE oil. All of the above are winners. Personal preference.
  4. My wife is not average in anything she sets out to do, and became a very accomplished boat driver. She is very good at all phases of boat driving and handling, not just pulling skiers. There was only 1 time I ever complained her about driving. (I was skiing and she didn't deserve it) That was the only time in our lives together she ever used a foul word.
  5. Ohh, don't need that image. Ive olyy known him the last couple of years. Ha!
  6. I think a lot of it is the rebound rate deteriorates. Haven't seen any measurement for that. @skialex was sort of on to that above.
  7. A summer ski friend had an earlier one, wood grain formica topped with carpet under your feet. Boy, could we make big spray with that one. Later I had a wooden one similar to the Connelly Hook. Very smooooth skiing.
  8. I tried that first on my 196, but it didn't solve the problem. Bite the bullet. Covert to the single puck Rev S upgrade and don't look back. You won't regret it.
  9. @HortonYou should have been like Mr Wonderfull and asked for a small royalty.
  10. Just like the world's. Every team member was considered OPEN, even if they could only run 15 off, etc.
  11. Agreed , Stargazer 3 Event. You can board in trick mode.
  12. I would love to have a boat like that Carver to run around on the big lakes here in Lake County FL.
  13. I don't remember when exactly the 5.3 became an option, but I do remember nobody liked the feel, myself included. Maybe it was because at the time most folks had 5.7s or 6.0s. One of my ski partners has a 2019 Ski Nautique with the 5.3. To us it seems much closer to the 6.2 than others. Maybe they reworked the algorithms or something. The 6.2 is still king right now.
  14. Hey Scott, Since you mentioned your dad's old Chris-Craft, there are quite a few antique boaters on this forum. Just saw the pics. One of my dad's old friends took us us for a ride in that exact same model. You would appreciate that this guy had some friends at GM engineering who dropped a 327 400 hp in that boat. It is claimed we were going over 70, however mostly out of the water. Scary fast. But fun.

  16. Back in the ancient days, the promotion of water skiing was at the core of the association mission statement.
  17. There's a little tournament called World Water Ski Championships coming next week. Just thought you might like to know, since you are noticeably absent promoting it on your (our) website or news blasts. And, its happening right here in your (our) back yard.
  18. I bought a 2006 in 2014 for the same money (with trailer). ZO conversion was already done. Put 500 more hours, and put new engine for 6K and still came out even when I sold it. I think in 07 you don't have to change the ECM to convert to ZO. Savings there. Also, that boat has the analog guage system, as opposed to gateway, which is great. Pics look pretty good. Taken care of, an engine can give you plenty more hours, I think somebody on here got 4K hrs. Just do your due diligence as suggested here by others.
  19. 303 products work great on marine vinyls, upholstery, and covers.
  20. Everybody knows it's there, been there for a many years. It's not width, its how far down course Nate went. Nate originally was going for more, then changed his mind too late. Freddy saw and knew what he had to do.
  21. Looks like a great time. Used to go to a lot of your tournaments when I lived at Ski Chaste in Mobile. Miss you all. Live in FL now.
  22. Bottom line, at most tournaments you're going to get Masterline Pro. (or S-Lines equivalent) You might get the choice of Optimized or HO (My preference). Best is to train with what you are likely to get. However, after 50 to a 100 sets, they all become stiff fairly stiff. If you don't care about tournaments, go with what you like.
  23. So, question? Was there season championship money?
  24. On the very bottom of their web page there is another red go arrow. It takes you to another you tube which shows the boat path with the boat coming toward you. Not awful.
