  1. Old school PerfectPass! Watch the guy in the boat with the stopwatch at the entrance gates. 😎
  2. Brenda with InTow will restring handles in either poly or spectra. She did several for me this past summer and the quality was fantastic.
  3. +1 for InTow. Great handles and I prefer the spectra rope over the poly. As stated before…it’s all personal preference!
  4. The DXII is an Incredible barefoot boat too!
  5. High probability that your strut and shaft are toast it you hit that log at speed. You can remove the shaft and have a machine shop check it. Tolerance is .003 out of round so very tight tolerance.
  6. I have a 2022 Txi with the M5Di engine. Has plenty of HP for course skiing and barefootin. Tracks rock solid even with a heavy weight slalom dude on short line. Wake size at longer rope lengths (22’, 15’) are significant IMHO. 28’ and shorter are a dream! 👍. You won’t be disappointed if you snag that boat.
  7. +1 on the Stokes Vest for floating. I have and Eagle also and it doesn’t float me anywhere close to like the Stokes does. 6’3”, 195lbs.
  8. Had a similar issue with the coolant tank on my 22’ Response. Coolant level was low due to a slow drip at a hose clamp connection so I suspect it was due to heated air expansion. New tank for $30, tighten hose clamps and filled coolant to proper level. No more issues.
  9. It’s not just MC that can’t figure out an accurate fuel measurement system. My 2022 Response TXi fuel gauge is crazy inaccurate. Make matters worse, there’s no way to actually see the fuel level left in the tank as the tank is completely enclosed in the rear of the boat.
  10. Had a ‘96 SN, PCM GT-40 EFI. Definitely go with an Acme 4 blade 422. Max a huge difference in smoothness and hole shot.
  11. Eagle - Bird of Prey. Love it!
  12. Another Sandpoint, ID skier here as well! We put a seasonal course in the water June-October. From Lewiston it’s a bit of a drive to Sandpoint but willing to support or assist as needed. I can connect her with several skiers in WA and ID. As @jpattigr Stellablue lake is an option in eastern WA as well as Baseline Lake for tournament lakes.
  13. @BraceMaker gave good advice. Call PP and tell them what you wanna do. They are super helpful and will steer you in the right direction
  14. 💯! great tournaments, great skiing and incredible coverage from TWBC.
  15. D3 NRG 2 or 3 is an excellent ski. I’m 6’3”, 195#, older than you by a lot and with back issues too. I ski a 67” NRG2. If you’re in Eastern Washington there is a course that we ski not far from you in Idaho. Message me if interested.
  16. Another good option is the late 90’s Malibu Sunsetter LX /LXi. Most are EFI, open bow, plenty of room for passengers and gear. Good slalom wakes (buddy has one and we course ski with it) and with a wedge can be a decent wakeboard boat.
  17. @NorthIdahoLPO it’s been so long since I’ve seen you ski, I’m surprised that the Stokes vest is getting any time on the water?!?! 😉
  18. Are you are mostly free skier, course skier or a little of both? IMHO D3 builds a great ski.
  19. Any chance you could fabricate a similar to OEM ski rack for the Malibu TXi?
  20. I used a Redline Pro Graphite for many years then transitioned to a D3. Highly recommend a D3 ARC or NRG R2. You won’t be disappointed.
  21. I'll keep you updated. I got all the components needed. Ordered the recirc pump, (Johnson Pump #10-24503-03), ordered the Maradyne 4-outlet marine heater and all flex hoses/vents directly from Maradyne, bought 5/8" heater hose locally. Tons cheaper than buying from dealer. Roughly 300+% markup from Malibu. As soon as i get a break in the weather, I'll start the install.
