I used Uship for a boat from Chicago area to north Idaho. About $3500, picked up on time and delivered 2.5 days later. Very satisfied. Always ask for a Certificate of Insurance with you named as “ additionally insured”. The reputable guys will do this.
Yep! Form a ski club an join AWSA. They have an underwriter that provides exactly the type of insurance you’ll need. I have a course permit for a public lake in Idaho and obtain insurance annually as required. Reasonable prices too!
PM me if you have questions
High probability that your strut and shaft are toast it you hit that log at speed. You can remove the shaft and have a machine shop check it. Tolerance is .003 out of round so very tight tolerance.
I have a 2022 Txi with the M5Di engine. Has plenty of HP for course skiing and barefootin. Tracks rock solid even with a heavy weight slalom dude on short line. Wake size at longer rope lengths (22’, 15’) are significant IMHO. 28’ and shorter are a dream! 👍. You won’t be disappointed if you snag that boat.
Had a similar issue with the coolant tank on my 22’ Response. Coolant level was low due to a slow drip at a hose clamp connection so I suspect it was due to heated air expansion. New tank for $30, tighten hose clamps and filled coolant to proper level. No more issues.
It’s not just MC that can’t figure out an accurate fuel measurement system. My 2022 Response TXi fuel gauge is crazy inaccurate. Make matters worse, there’s no way to actually see the fuel level left in the tank as the tank is completely enclosed in the rear of the boat.
Another Sandpoint, ID skier here as well! We put a seasonal course in the water June-October. From Lewiston it’s a bit of a drive to Sandpoint but willing to support or assist as needed. I can connect her with several skiers in WA and ID. As @jpattigr Stellablue lake is an option in eastern WA as well as Baseline Lake for tournament lakes.
D3 NRG 2 or 3 is an excellent ski. I’m 6’3”, 195#, older than you by a lot and with back issues too. I ski a 67” NRG2. If you’re in Eastern Washington there is a course that we ski not far from you in Idaho. Message me if interested.
Another good option is the late 90’s Malibu Sunsetter LX /LXi. Most are EFI, open bow, plenty of room for passengers and gear. Good slalom wakes (buddy has one and we course ski with it) and with a wedge can be a decent wakeboard boat.
