  1. I don't know about the paracord idea. I'd want something strong enough to block an arm or head from going through but if an arm does go through I want it to break. I don't want to literally create another snare. @jhughes What do you do?
  2. I have this issue too and unfortunately no advice other than when it gets bad enough use an epoxy like Solarez to fill it. What I can advise though is, keep an eye on your rope!
  3. @UWSkier what is the difference between your setup and the chrome turn down exhausts that I have heard about? Do they both accomplish the same thing?
  4. Just guessing... but 23 years on a muddy bottom those anchors are probably going to be like suction cups. You might need to pry them to get them to release.
  5. Wow. All I can say is, why did you keep skiing those settings when it didn't feel right to begin with?
  6. @vtjc got it, that sounds nasty. I hope everything works out well for your wife. Maybe someone will step up for a few rides and help you recharge your batteries!
  7. @vtjc even Dotsero is kinda far. You wife's knee surgery is going to be wham-bam, in and out. Not a whole lot of idle time for you.
  8. I think this is a really cool idea and would love to have one. Sorry to have to admit that it may be just a little too pricey for me though.
  9. I use the Mityvac for transmission oil. Boat is on a trailer so no big deal to drain the oil through the drain tube. The real issue with oil changes is getting the filter off without making a complete mess of the bilge.
  10. My 99 RLX went through several cores in it's first few years which were replaced by HC. The last one was the whole new box and all due to the new design, which was to supposed to correct those issues. It worked! Haven't had one go bad since.
  11. Here is the link to @Than_Bogan article on leverage
  12. @BraceMaker I like that thing that you posted. Sure would work better than my wad of paper towels!
  13. Sometimes if the boat is tilted toward the vent it will keep shutting off just from sloshing around in a relatively flat tank. That can happen if filling at the dock and you are standing there to hold the nozzle or if boat is crooked on the trailer. I have also found that even when the boat is level, sealing up the fill hole around the fill nozzle with paper towels can help but you still need to go slow.
  14. I don't know about Wally buoys so can't comment about why you can't put water in them. However, @coach3 your comment about water adding mass to a regular buoy is not is not entirely thought out. This was discussed and demonstrated years ago, ad nauseam, and I really hope we won't have to go back to that argument again! Let's just say that handle guards and anything better than regular buoys cranked down to be half under the surface will both keep you safer. ;)
  15. @adamhcaldwell that explains why rocker but not why rocker and outline the same.
  16. @jakecuz23 there was some discussion about binding placement in this thread. One comment that stuck out to me was from @Drago where he said: Your center of balance is your inside ankle bone. I think the average distance from your inside ankle bone to the back of the heel is 2 1/2”. I suggest measuring this distance and changing your original binding placement acccordingly. Saves time.(My ankle is 3” forward of my heel, so I go back 1/2 inch from recommendation, then explain this or just tell anyone that asks I’m at stock) Of course, you should listen closely to anything that @SkiJay says.
  17. I think I remember that the Perfect Pass people are somewhere in NS. You might try calling there?
  18. Gotcha on the Canadian dollar @Chef23. I didn't realize.
  19. I'm with @DavidN though. The price is on the high side. I have a 99 RLX in better condition and I know I would only get about half what they're asking for that Sunsetter.
