  1. @Chuck_Dickey‌ are you using AirPlay to stream to AppleTV?
  2. Here's one more... http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=60742&sid=d88760d15724a7cf98ee63208545ced0
  3. You'll need to install an app like Plex on your pc and setup you Roku for Plex. Here's a couple of links... https://plex.tv/ http://www.pcworld.com/article/256058/stream_media_from_your_pc_to_your_roku_box.html
  4. I understand that the spacers/washers have been changed to steel from aluminum and that's good. Here's a link to a comment I wrote a while back on how I dealt with the wear of aluminum spacers. BTW, not only did the spacers wear out, so did the slots on the Sequence place. I replaced them as follows... http://ballofspray.vanillaforums.com/discussion/comment/135325/#Comment_135325
  5. If you want to jump, I think you need to go to Trophy. But I've seen Seth take one of his students over there for that. Also, I think Seth will have someone at his site in his absence. As for demos, there are some at the site (H2Osmosis), but nearly anything can be arranged if you set it up ahead of time H2OProShop.com.
  6. My season was over before it started this year. No water. Will continue to free ski a couple more weeks including a Powell trip.
  7. @ScarletArrow me too. Especially the last paragraph. Oh, and the very last line too!
  8. @jhughs it sounds like you are making progress. On the turn in... it feels strange initiating without falling back and using tension from the rope. If you think about being tall and straightening your back leg it will put you up front. Then you can drop in with the hip. Just a thought but you could probably develop this initiation move without the rope. I remember you writing about a clinic with @sethski where he had you do this with great success. He did it with me as well and I've never forgotten the sensation. Find your notes! @gregy is right on the money about the mind saying "fall back and resist the pull."
  9. Hey @Joel, I'm not hearing your #1 about longer lighter pullout from anyone. I'm hearing get up higher on the boat. Get a visual on where the rope is relative to something on the boat. A step pad on the gunwale, lettering on the side or something. My 2 cents.
  10. Assuming your ski setup is OK... weight forward is not a binding thing. Look around here for "straighter back leg".
  11. FifteenOff.com is gone. But, @jhughs is here... I hope.
  12. Yeah, I live in Telluride. Pretty good skiin' here. Play hockey too. Winter is long and you need to make the best of it, but... warm and waterskiing beats it all! Maybe we could use an indoor slalom lake.
  13. I really like Seth Stisher @sethski. Great atmosphere and vibe. He will get right to what will give you the greatest chance to improve. That said, it might not be what you think it is, so no matter who you go to make sure you go with a wide open mind and absolutely don't worry about ball count while being coached. I have never been to Matt Rini but he comes very highly recommended. Don't worry too much about ski setup with any of these guys. If something is truly wrong, any of them will be able to fix that. There is just so much to learn about skiing and if you just feel something while there you'll take home with you and never forget it.
  14. I posted this somewhere a number of years ago but can't find. Here we go again... McMaster-Carr 95647A125 Wear-Resistant Delrin (Acetal) Flat Washer 1/4" Screw Size, .5" OD, .02"-.04" 92510A036 Aluminum Unthreaded Round Spacer 1/4" OD, 7/32" Length, #8 Screw Size https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/mtunlB_wB_VdYsFi4d4oudMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink I think I tried to go with shoulder screws but for 8-32 thread they only have 3/16" should diameter. The Sequence Plate needs 1/4" should diameter.
  15. I wear an O'neill Gooru with long sleeves all season. It is really flexible and has glideskin. There is also a fleecey interior. Our water just barely peaks at 70 but the majority of time it's around 66ish. Also, have a 3/2 shortie. I can't stay in either of them in the boat after skiing so I switch to whatever is dry. What are you guys calling too cold for top or shortie? To me it's more about the air temperature when it comes to the drysuit. Just don't want to be wet when I get out. http://img2.findthebest.com/sites/default/files/2669/media/images/ONeill_Gooru_2mm_LS_Spring_560758_i0.jpg
  16. @jhughes what you just said about carving free of the boat instead of having the boat pull you in is key...
  17. @Than_Bogan and @Wish have you tried Gorilla Tape? It's very tenacious and lasts longer than regular duct tape, at least for me anyway. BTW, the TW Arm-Guards do crack eventually but I think it is the best guard by far safety wise. The biggest flaw in my experience were the Ty-wraps. They chewed the edge of my ski on pull-ups and I could never adjust myself to prevent it.
  18. Could someone please give an idea of what's acceptable? I have a couple of HO CDX's in great shape though they are from 2000. It would be great if they got used for skiing rather than becoming part of a lawn chair!
  19. @DaveLemons this is sort of the same idea of lacing ice skates. If the top is tight the boot is like a cast and you lose the mobility of your ankle. If the very bottom is tight all you do is squeeze your toes which is uncomfortable and affects your balance. Being slug somewhere in the middle results in good control but doesn't affect your mobility as much while staying comfortable.
  20. @Wish Wiff - 2. Term to describe missing the handle. "I was running late and wiffed at 5 ball.
  21. @ScarletArrow I think the thing to look for when you test the Stradas is whether there is any elasticity left after you tighten the laces. As mentioned above you should be able to get out of Stradas on dry land. As to other types of rubber boots, being able to get out while in the water by pulling on the tip is a pretty good indicator that they are fitted right. Dry rubber boots are totally different. Like you, I don't see where the bottom laces factor in as far as being loose. Ultimately, if you can't get past the top laces, you're screwed.

    Clean up time

+1 on the half vinegar/half water spray. Works best to spray while the hull is still wet but can also be used to remove spots once they develop. Been doing this since '99 on same boat and it looks new.
