  1. So what happens when a skier falls? Not sure I'd want to be a skier in the water in that traffic.
  2. I would rename the club “State of Iowa Waterski Team” and refuse to wear ISU apparel. No need to give the university free advertising if they aren’t going to support the club.
  3. @LeonL Click on "Products" and you will see the 4 different types of gloves.
  4. @RAWSki You should see if you can borrow that gator they saw in the Albion College nature center.
  5. Just an FYI, the top of the heal of the HRT will wear from putting your foot in. I've had mine for 3 years now and am in the middle of repairing the tear in the foam and cloth caused by my heal rubbing against the top edge.
  6. @JayG80 Thanks for posting the elite 8. Listening to Dave Miller talk about building endurance and skiing 8 sets a day was interesting. Not sure what's more impressive, skiing 8 sets or finding the time to ski 8 sets in a day.
  7. I wonder if the lack of interest in this new ski has anything to do with Freddie and Nate not switching to it.
  8. @tbarile Have you thought about this set-up?
  9. Years ago, a friend of my used to ski Lake Bellaire on miles of glass in the morning. If you're taking your boat and don't need a course, that might be a good option.
  10. @horton Moving closer to the Sierra Nevada Brewery. Good decision.
  11. Howard wasn’t the on site announcer too.
  12. I'm trying to convince someone to buy one but he's concerned he won't be able to see the splashed without his glasses on. Is there anyone in southeast or southcentral Michigan that has one that he can see in action and maybe try out?
  13. This might be another option: http://www.liquidcut.com/
  14. Finding out someone drank my last beer in the club's fridge. Don't mind if you have a beer on me, just don't take the last one.
  15. @The_MS did you paint her toe nails? Nice job if you did. You got skills. ?
  16. Cost of either sport is dependent on location and circumstances. I spend about the same amount to take one 4 day ski trip out west as I do for my yearly ski club membership. I'm sure the cost would be the other way around if I lived near a ski resort and had to buy a house on a lake.
  17. My visit to the derm a few weeks ago was clean but my colonoscopy on Monday found 4 small polyps. Should have had my 5 year check last year but delayed it a year because of Covid. Now I'm wondering if the polyps were there and if they would have found them if I had gone in last year like I was supposed to. Needless to say, will be getting checked every 3 years now.
  18. @skialex That water may be a little firmer than it was 2 days ago, but it's still fun to ski on.
  19. Fresh POW! Who said you couldn't ski this winter?
  20. @swbca I find it's easier to break old habits early in the season when the body's relearning how to ski. Don't be afraid of early season lessons.
  21. Looks like it's only a 4 1/2 hour drive to ski with @Luzz. Good way to spend your weekends.
  22. This lake is about 1 1/2 hours NW of Ashville: https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Ski_Clubs&postid=54608
  23. @VONMAN Lot has changed since 2001 in fuel cell technology. Start up times are not an issue now, even in cold weather. Biggest issue with them now is the lack of hydrogen infrastructure. Don't expect hydrogen availability to be convenient in the US anytime soon.
