  1. Found this over at the Crossfit.com website. And no, the ski was not the first thing I noticed. http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/bryanbridges_overheadski_th.jpg
  2. @richardoane - Thanks for the kind words and pictures! It was a fun tournament, I'll try and get up to the Seattle area before the end of the season.
  3. Doesn't foot size figure into this? I have size 12 feet and my back RS1 is tight to the front boot. If I had size 9 feet, with the same ankle-to-ankle spacing the boots would probably be 1-2" apart. So, what is the important measurement, ankle-to-ankle, or distance from back of front to the toe of back boot?
  4. @ski6jones - good skiing. My wife just finished up school and is a Pharmacist. There weren't any jobs in MT, and she was offered a great job on OR. Hated to leave MT, but getting to like it out here.
  5. @ski6jones - That pre release sucked! Still think about it anytime I see someone on a Reflex. I'm sure I didn't have it adjusted right, but I wouldn't get use it again. How's your skiing going, running 35? I just dropped down to 34 last year, so I'm getting deep into 35, only run it once. My wife and I just moved to Salem, OR. Joined a cool ski club, been skiing a lot the last couple weeks. Need to find a job sometime though.
  6. That doesn't seem real! He has so much time at each buoy, looks more like a nice '35 off pass.
  7. Working great for me! Thanks Kelvin! I sure miss skiing there!
  8. I don't have a problem with it, seen it often. Not sure if it helps the skier that much. Like Jipster43 said, if you had a bad round, or day, wouldn't you like to get to ski a few more passes if you have the opportunity? Most of us are out there skiing against ourselves anyway.
  9. Showed up at the lake today and the entrance gates were both under water. Something, probablya nutrea (sp?) or muskrat had bitten a hole in them. A couple years ago we were having a bad problem with muskrats sinking balls, about 4 a week. One actually swam out and sank one while I was skiing! Luckily I had my .22 with me, took care of him. When I lived in Houston a couple members killed a 13' gator in our lake. I had skied the night before, glad I didn't run into it.
  10. @klundell - send an email to Thomas Wayne, he'll send you back a picture and info about his guard. His address is twcues at gci.net
  11. 74 at Sabrina Lake, 35 mi South of Salem
  12. I remember skiing at Banana Bend in Houston years ago and the water was right at 100 after a hot stretch. It was awful, took away all your energy. When you'd drop in at the end it felt like you were getting in a hot tub.
  13. Even if your hand gets in between the handle and guard it won't go past your forearm. At least not on mine. The zip ties are good because that opening can't expand, like it could with bungees. The zip ties break off occasionally, but they're easy to replace.
  14. I've just ordered a new one from Thomas Wayne this week. Got an email response from him within a day. My first ARM Guard lasted 3 seasons.

  16. @richarddoane. Thanks I'll check into it.
  17. I just moved to Salem, OR, found a great place to ski at Sabrina Lake. But my wife is working in Portland this week, so I'm wondering if any Ballers in the Portland area are skiing during the day. I'd be avail anytime up until about 5pm. Let me know, I'd love to check out a couple of the sites in the area.
  18. Steve, Jim has some chemicals that should take care of the weeds this year, or at least make it skiable. You may not see me at NWL, I'm moving to the Portland/salem area early June. Thanks, thats still the only 35 I've run, glad I did it there!
  19. Steve, I was at Jim's place. It's skiing great. Amazing view this time of year with all snow in the Missions.
  20. Mine came off last night. Air was 65, water 68. Went with shorts and heater top. Good for this time of year in MT! Sore spray leg today though.
  21. Just curious, what kind of rate are you getting for a 5 year old boat? When I bought my boat in 2003, boat is a '95 SN, I got 6% interest for up to 12 years.
  22. My favorite is Cypress, outside of Houston. Beautiful site with good people, skis great.
  23. Our ice came off in early March, but the owner drained the lake for shore maintenance. He just got the water flowing last week, so with any luck we should be skiing by next weekend.
