  1. Skiing at 34 mph on 67" ION-S, typically through 35 off. I preferred the blue over the red, maybe because I am closer to the lower end of the weight range or find the softer flex a little more forgiving.

FB at 30.00" for the following:

    Stock Fin - 6.921, 2.475, 0.735, 8° (standard wing)

    Whisper Fin - 5.741, 2.514, 1.846, 7.5°(big wing)

  2. It is TOTAL BULLSH*!$%!!T!!!!!!!!!! that an $80K boat not have a fuel gauge that works! I have a 2015 Prostar. We had the fuel sending unit replaced twice under warranty....still the same issue. Ran out of gas in the middle of the lake 2 weeks ago and the gauge was reading 3/8 of a tank. We are diligent in fueling at the end of every day. We knew the gauge was off because it would go from 1/2 to pegged on full with only adding 5 gallons, and we tried to manage it so we wouldn't overflow. Then, I said F%$#ck it!!! I am going to fill it until it overflows. This "seems" to have somewhat reset the sending unit, but for how long???? Again, total BS!!! And, you can't see through the tank to get any type of visual on level.

A burnt up fuel pump will set you back about $1000 or so at the dealer. Not good Mastercraft!!!!!!

I suggest making the tank less opaque and get rid of the gas gauge all together (save the time and money), it would be more effective and accurate.

Fuel Management system is just a poor, redundant band-aide of an excuse for the real problem and another thing adding variability to the root cause. And, another thing to go wrong!!

  3. @quinne I think you need to determine if it is muscle knots, cramping, or something else. I had the same type of issues. Muscle pain in the rhomboid area, under the shoulder blades, predominantly on the left side. I went to my PT, got dry needling, messages, exercises, stretching, etc. Went to a chiropractor for the first time in my life and did about 15 visits with no relief. It turned out to be more a nerve issue from my cervical spine that presented as muscle type pain, called referred pain. However, you could have never convinced me of that prior to an MRI and the measure I took to try and correct it. See this image.ajcmo6ccc26c.jpg

I am pretty sure it had to do with some nerve compression. I wound up getting a cervical spine stretching device called a Saunders Cervical Traction unit hmat22vrcouo.jpg and took a months regiment of Meloxicam (prescription anti-inflammatory). I used the machine about 3 to 4 times a day for 10 minutes a session for about 6 weeks. After about 1 week I started to feel about 50% better and after about 1 month I felt 90% better. Now I use it once a day for maintenance. I still have a small tinge of pain every once in a while when I reach for something the wrong way, but I have not had anymore issues with skiing.

  4. Numbers, a little different than stock....I am 5'5" @ 173#, on a 67 (Blue), also using a CG RFF Fin. Will try WF at some point too.

    30.00, 6.910 (Tips), 2.480, 0.740 (Head), 8.5°

  5. I have only ridden the blue ski for 4 sets, but I gotta say....I think this might be a keeper. Need to ride the red one too, just to see the difference. @Spencer_Shultz description is very similar to what I feel. This ski just keeps moving and pointing towards center line, especially on the onside (2,4,6) which is usually my nemesis. It very stable, predictable, and forgiving into and out of the turn. It has really good cross course speed. It sticks with you when in scramble mode and doesn't punish you if you are on the tail or pushing on the tail. I am coming off a Goode XTR. This ski turns as good, if not better than, the XTR and has more cross course speed. Something I have not been able to find in any other ski I have ridden. I never thought I would be able to come of the orange and black crack, this may be my chance for getting clean!! :#
  6. @Buxrus replace the fin with another, if you have one. Normal fins for Goode's should be .095...NOT .100 or .101 like the ones that are going out in some of the new skis. I got one like that too. I could barely get it out of the ski it was jammed in there so tight. This is obviously a manufacturing error and not an intentional design change. It will have an impact on how set up feels.
  7. I don't have a reflex set up, but I did employ the same concept of limited travel with my Fluid Motion hard shell cuff; meaning it is fixed so that it cannot go under 15° - 20° to normal (i.e. always flexed forward. I experimented with taking off my limited travel mechanism to see what it would feel like after a few years of using it. I went back to the dock and put it right back on.
  8. @Horton those turn balls are way over-inflated. You need to let enough air out of them so the bottom half of the buoy "puckers". It will seem like they are way under-inflated but the down force of the bungee (or rope) attached will make the top half of the buoy "crown" when installed. That is what you want so they maintain the softness and provides space for the air displace when they are hit.
