  1. You don't have to soak it but at least use soapy water, use a smooth surface and the handle end if a hammer. While rolling the rope back in forth on a smooth surface tap it continuously with the handle. Grasp the rope with both hands, one on each side of the knot and push inward on the knot while rotating your hands back and forth. If it doesn't come loose the first time repeat process. Works every time!  Knots are hard on a rope and usually result in the weak link of the rope. Best answer is to replace it if it's as old as is sounds!
  2. Ed, I own a 00 LX, The guy I ski with has promo'ed Malibu for about 15 yrs. Usually ski behind it 6 sets a week. Wakes never been a problem w/his boats. Mine's more nimble but the bigger HP and ZO that the cake. Tracking, accelleration, etc...non issue's...I don't like the bling dash but haven't been blinded by glareÂÂ
  3. trs 1 / Scott I'm the same height and weight as Scott and felt the same. "What if I buy in and it doesn't fit"
  4. Ed, The boat driver I was refering to which by the way is one of my best friends has his house for sell. It's listed on ski it again and is south of Houston. Wish he wasn't selling it but life changes and we must all move on. Just to be clear there's a two lake site across the street that is very active w/ a great bunch of guys. One of which is also one of my best friends. Once the water warms up he will start skiing and we will ski the entire season together. Come on Global Warming! It just makes me sad to see the home court that I've skied at for almost 30 yrs have so little activity and reading this thread didn't help.ÂÂ
  5. Too many to count! How about an entire three lake ski community on top of that. I still keep my boat there and ski, three lakes to yourself with a boat driver that skied deep -38's in the early 80's. Just can't get him back in the water(injured reserve)
  6. So John When's the BIG day? Thanks HO no matter who wins!
  7. Scott, I expericenced the same thing first time I did it. The heal bunched up in one of the boots. I was reading the webpage instructions and they heat up the liner inside the boot. Might need to make a road trip this go around
  8. Shane, Is there much difference between your RS1's and the Strada's? Looks like they stiffened them up a little. Are you using the super feet? If so inside or outside of the liner?
  9. 454SS, The concept/idea behind heat moldable liners is custom fit. In most cases each persons Foot is shaped differently could be the instep, arch or just the lenght of your toes. By molding the liner to your foot and boot at the same time you get a custom fit. When people ask "How do they fit" I reply "Just like my favorate pair of tennis shoes"
  10. 454SS, No spacers for the middle two screws. The spacers allow the plate to slide foward/aft as the ski flexes the middle two screws hold the plate down.
  11. Thanks Guys, Thought about re-heating the one's I've got but the nylon strap for the rear liner is frayed really bad. The velcro of my glove loves it so much I've decided to let them live out their life together as soon as I replace my gloves. I've got a new pair of liner's waiting to hop on a cookie sheet just brain F**ted and wasn't sure on the temp. Hey Shane, How's the side by side compairison going? The Freaking wind hasn't been to nice to me. Three out of five sets it's been howling straight down the lake.ÂÂ
  12. OK Guys It's a three hr round trip for me to get my liner's heat molded at the pro shop, I'd rather just do it at home in the oven. What's the recommended time and temp for a conventional oven?
  13. One of the guy's at the lake had extra padding sewn into his only his need was for extra protection. Not sure if he's skiing yet but will ask what the extra cost was as soon is I see him. (he doesn't live on the lake)ÂÂ
  14. Mark, Go back to page 1 and look at Scokes pic, stand the ski's up just like Scoke's gun's only turn them flat instead of on edge. Of course only 2 ski's will fit turned flat not sure if you three event or not. Then look at H2OSki's pic, it's a little hard to see but there's a recessed area in the back. That's where the golf bag caddy bolts up. The one's in this area have a roof and the ski's fit standing upright. No comment on where to put/mount the ball washer.ÂÂ
  15. Mrs/Mr MS Not sure about the style of your cart or what options are on your cart (single bench, double bench, rear golf bag caddy...etc.) But if it were me I would build/convert the rear golf bag caddy into an upright ski rack. There are several carts in the Houston area that have the golf caddy in the rear. They stand their ski's up in the caddy but they flop around because of the large bag belt at the top. It wouldn't be very hard to remove the bag cradles/belts and bolt a (wb)rack to the upright post or carpet a 2x4 w/1" dowel rods w/bunge instead of the wb rack. This way the ski's are at a convenient heigth, easy to put on and take off. Not a head knocker. You won't have to climb/reach on top to get them down. You don't have to worry about them hanging over the side's and catching on something as you drive by.   ÂÂ
  16. JP, Teammalibu can custom make a G10 plate that will bolt up to your inserts and the fogman system release. He's on here all the time and has an add on ski-it-again
  17. Kelvin, I know of a guy on the San bernard river that hydrofoils and has competed on a world level. Not sure if I can find him or not, if you want I will. I saw something about a VIP section w/food. Shed some light on that, Looks like the wife and I will make a weekend of it and get a room close by. Hope your not planning on inviting as many on duty officer's as they had in ARK. (not that i'll be drinking and driving or anything like that)
  18. Where are you at Kelvin, hope New Orleans/Mardi Gras Parade didn't take you out!
  19. Kelvin, Just saw your banner ad for the ski jam. Give us the inside scoop of what the plans are. Looks like the top 8 will ski under the lights and I've seen the footage Glen has on Barefoot central, so I've got an idea of what his plans are. The ad states limited ticket sales, What's the plan? Are you going to put the spectators on the south shore or are you setting up the fireworks on that side?
  20. DW, I kept watching Jr, waiting for him to make a run. It didn't look like he could get thru the field. The camera's were focused on the front of the field at the W/C and then all of a sudden he appeared. Looked like he got a push from fourth to second...wish I could have seen him work his way up there! I love it shes in a Chevy but the question is: Does she ski?
  21. Richard, I'm at work and am not.....ah.....what was is saying.....ah... Oh yea...Chevy took first and second! But that's a nice looking hood ornament on a ford
  22. Bruce55, Team Malibu custom fabricates G10 material to fit any boot/ski combination. He got an add on ski it again and post here as well
  23. Richard, It sure is a pleasure to have you, O.F. and your camera on this board. Great info all the time!
