  1. 1230 miles round trip from south of Houston to Fayetteville, AR for regionals and 66th's of a buoy short of going to West Palm
  2. 1.78 with a 09 Malibu, every time
  3. Shane, That's what I felt with bob's boat last weekend and I hear Jerry's is the same. Must be the tranny. Just need to load both barrel's and let the boat do the work off the ball. Got to get a set in last night after work and ran back to back -32's, Hopefully I'm on my way back
  4. Yea Buddy! Cats out of the bag now! Sounds like a couple of good set's! Congrad's! Glad you like it. Hopefully the ZO setting issue will end soon. I'm at work so no tourney for me this weekend. Hopfully I'll have a couple of good sets this coming weekend!
  5. Roger, Last weekend was my first tourney of the year. Won't go into detail but a nagging back problem is screwing with me BAD this year. After 3 rounds best score(it sucked) was behind MC. Go figure
  6. I never will froget my EP comp X2. I was riding the Connelly Shortline and was ragging on a friend of mine who had one. One evening we were footing and a boat ran over my ski. Sliced it up from one end to the other. I still have it and will post a pic if I get a chance. The following morning we set up the course and I didn't have a ski. My buddy said ride my EP. At the time I was working on -22@36 and could only get about 2 or 3. My first set on it I smoked -22 and and backed it you with 4@-28. I ordered one the following Monday, Talk about true love it was almost better than sex!ÂÂ
  7. Not a problem Roger, When I first discovered it I thought...MAN don't tell anyone.. but that's not me. The SN and Malibu will be almost identical they are in the houston area. Best I can tell you about the MC is stand tall coming into the ball, let the ski finish the turn and be light on the line. Bad part about it is it's easy to say...Doing it is another story!  Glad you liked the setting, you'll end up doing well.
  8. Roger, The way I see it is everyone's afraid of C except the big guns. Truth be told, to me it feels more like PP. I will say it is a little stronger and the MC is skied behind was a lot stronger. Don't know what to tell you about that one.
  9. I am one of the lucky one's who gets to train behind ZO.  In fact if truth be told I ski a set behind a 00 malibu w/PP6.5 and then 1 or 2 sets behind 09 malibu w/ZO The setting I have chosen with ZO is C2. What I have found out or feel is that w/C2 as soon as you put the handle away ZO brings on the gas...BUT...as soon as you come off the second wake ZO removes it.  What I feel with this setting is: After the second wake I am free of the boat and the ski will cast out. At the completion of the turn I never beat the boat to the turn and all is good as long as I can stay in a strong stance With all of the other setting I tried the things I would feel was, After the second wake you could feel the boat running w/the handle (chasing the boat) At the completion of the turn the boat wasn't there (beat the boat to the turn) C2 feels more like PP 6.5 at normal and none to me.ÂÂ
  10. Back in the Day, Connelly Shortline Maha Connelly Hook EP Comp 2
  11. The MC Sport Star had an excellent hull w/o bells and whistles. No spray from the boat at short line and a small carbureted engine. It would pull 95's all day long w/o sucking the tank dry like most MC's do!
  12. Bruce, During my 20+ year's of skiing/competing with Ken Kenner all he would say from the boat was: "DAVID.....Get your hand's in" MAN...I miss skiing with that guy! Good article! David
  13. I have been involved with building several ski lake communities, and have had the pleasure of repairing shoreline eroison on existing lakes. RAL's design is probably your best bet.
  14. Don't think you can do it with that kind of income...but look for one that's been dried up for a long time. Use a probe about 4' or 5' foot long and be sure it's dry. Heavy equiptment gets stuck easily and the wetter the soil the more it's going to cost to dig out. You can get away with a depth of 6' and use the dirt you dig to build up levee's. But the levee's MUST be compacted or it's leak city. Pay special attension to the slope of your shore line because within a year you'll be skiing in a bathtub and the only way to fix it is lot's of money. Good luck and keep your hope's up you never know what life will bring you!ÂÂ
  15. Are you kidding me? I've clicked on everything looking for the hot chicks! HA! No seriously John the site looks great and appericate the direction your going. Just like the guy's at Radar you are stepping up to the plate to provide a lot for us without asking much in return. The inside information I get from this site is priceless and after going to a couple of Big Dog's it's good to put a face with the poster's on your site. Can't wait till you really get cranked up because I've already gotten some good deal's and know you'll have more to come.    ÂÂ
  16. John, I go straight to the sign-in. The clickable Hot chick's would change my path!
  17.  Not made of steel, the threads on the outside are larger than most, haven't had a problem after install. Give JD a hard time about that one, I got the link from him.

  22. Most of south Texas the soil content is black gumbo. This stuff holds water very well but is easily re-shaped by wave action. Two things that have worked very well in this area are: 1) If a 4" to 6" lip is already formed use a 15' wide roll of geo-texile cloth. Place cloth lenght wise along shore line and allow 6" to 8" of cloth to be up on the bank. Use bags of sak-crete to form a line along bottom edge of cloth. Be sure this depth is in at least 2'-3' of water or the wave action will start a new erosion line at base of the sak-crete. Use re-bar and pin sak-crete in place. Back fill with bull rock from sak-crete to lip. Price every thing out before hand, bull rock can be very expensive in some area's. Use this process at the starting dock and shore lines of turn islands it stops any and all erosion of heavy boat wakes(starting, stopping, turning) in these area's. 2) In the fall or early spring drop the level of the lake about two feet. Wait one or two weeks and allow shore line to dry. Rent or purchase 3 point PTO powered tiller that will fit the tractor. Make at least two passes on problem area's(depends on width of problem) or two passes of entire shore line. Follow this up with pasture rake or use a roller. But be careful with use of roller/wet area's You might get REALLY stuck and make a REALLY big mess. If you use this method it's best to hire someone who knows how to use this equipment and someone who knows soil content. (Rancher)ÂÂÂ
