@MarcusBrown‌ have you shown us a video of a dry land drill moving COM forward? If not you need to show us one.

I had a similar issue but in an OTF it always released. I just leave the boot in and get in and out using the liner. The only time the boot comes off is in an OTF. Your other issue maybe that liner which is very thick. I went back to the thin Reflex liner. As they say no binding system is perfect, but my R style worked every time in OTF

I had the same problem. Switched to the Goode liner and haven't had the problem since.

Mine seems to have lost its ability to pick up magnets and since ZO is not in the picture I would like to replace it.

I currently have the older black reflex boot that I cut/mod up some for slalom. I need to replace it and was wondering if anyone out there used the white cuff and what are the benefits over the standard for slalom?

I think this has been discussed a lot but.... I really would like to hear from those who have Zbox. Are times consistent? Is it really similar to ZO? Cant afford a new or even a used ZO boat now but could afford to upgrade to SG Zbox. Currently running PP Classic and I get pretty consistent times but my buddy with a ZO boat doesn't wast to ski behind my 2000 CC 196 anymore because its not the same has his boat.... you know the story , so looking for some feedback. Have a buddy who is going to take some trick lessons from Jimmy Siemers. Thought I might tag along but I don't trick. Anyone out there taken a slalom lesson from him? Does he even coach slalom?

@6balls I'm not an Olympic lifter or coach and really have no experience with it, but wouldn't strength to weight ratio be more important then technique? Take two similar sized guys, one squats and dead lifts more then the other by a considerable margin. Even with ugly form I would think the stronger guy could muscle a bar overhead. There was a young guy that showed up at our club and wanted to learn to ski. He was really strong and had an athletic build.... Just looked like an athlete. Went from running the course the first time to 35 in no time... Seriously pissed me off! Anyway he really did 2 things well, strong athletic position behind the boat and he just held the handle close of the second wake out to the ball. With his strength it looked effortless. I think his strength and power helped in his crazy fast progression. I wonder how strong those female pros are for their size and weight? Haven't met many of them but from pictures they have very athletic builds. This could also be the musings of a tall thin dude who has taken a lot longer to progress in the slalom course.

Warp and any reflex? Saw the graphics on the Reflex Zen 41 and it looks cool and I would like to try one but I have never seen or heard a word about this ski. Anyone?

I try and get a ski from Horton every year. Same response every year since Dirt borrowed an HO ski...A1? I still like to ask...

I was impressed that both Dave and Nate did that interview. Dave is doing a nice job covering, documenting some of the big moments in the sport. This time it doesn't happen on his ski but he still puts it out there. If it wasn't for Dave most of us wouldn't see video of WRs or Big Dawg interviews. I don't see ESPN running to cover this stuff. I appreciate that both Dave and Nate did as much as they did and I got to watch. Horton you should start BSPN! You have a camera for "unboxing" ! You could run around to all the big tournaments, video, interview, edit and give us all the highlights with waterski and beer companies paying for your efforts and getting 2 minute commercials in return! I owned a 93 Stars and Stripes with a slot... Sold it to my brother in 2000 when I purchased a 196. Occasionally I will ask my self why I sold that boat. Loved the blue metal flake! They both ski well but I like the build quality of my CC better but I don't think you can go wrong with either. A number of the 190 and 205s we got in 1995 rode down the lake leaning to the passenger side. We had a couple of pissed customers and one added a plate to the boat to try and level it. I think the quality of MC started to drop around 95/96. I don't know if it had something to do with the debacle WetJet.

Reflex used to make a carbon cuff. Back then Remi sold Reflex in the US. Called him to purchase the carbon cuff and he told me not to buy it. He told me for slalom, cut the upper part of the back cuff and the tab. Did it and never had a problem releasing and the back of the boot doesn't jam my calf. My system is coming up on 5 years old and when I replace it I will go with the black boot again. Haven't heard enough good to pay extra for the white cuff IMHO.

It's been 5 years since I switched. My first pass didn't go well. I think I free skied a couple of runs until I got more comfortable with the set up. Don't panic, it's something new. Give it some time.

@chris_logan ok thanks, I think I will stick with the L. I'm 6' 2" 190. Did your Impact vest stretch at all?

Just got my new vest in the mail. Had an Eagle XL before the Camaro. Felt like the Eagle stretched out and I lost some wieght. Miami Ski Nautique told me to get an LG but this vest feels real tight! Do they stretch at all? Thanks
