  1. Ski with people who are better than you so you can watch and learn If you're stuck in a rut with your old equipment, get new stuff (like a Connelly F1!) Practice Free skiing with short rope lengths as this helps in the course Kahlua (for the coffee) is the best way to make friends in the morning

wtrskinut,  I recently attended a ski school (Ty's Ski Academy).  I had him watch me ski a few sets and then he adjusted my ski. He noticed the ski not holding angle through the wakes. The only change we made was fin depth. He dropped it down .100" to 2.400". Ironically, the factory setting is supposed to be 2.500" deep so in essence it was set at 2.300 from Connelly. All other settings are bone stock although I moved the front binding forward one set of holes. Rather than go back to the factory depth setting, Ty recommended changing it a little bit as I had been skiing on it (set @ 2.300") all summer.  I then skiied another set with Ty and the ski REALLY holds angle through the wakes now. It's a little bit slower in the turn but holding angle was my weak point and so far I really like the change.  RG

Been skiing on mine (68") since Memorial Day. I really like it in the course. I'm learning the ski and finding that it holds angle really well, is very fast and if I'm patient with it (my offsides are my weak point) I can get early on most balls.  When free skiing I've noticed that it's VERY stable, especially in rough water. A few times this year I've gone out even when there was a lot of traffic, skiied like I was running the course and the F1 really amazed me at how it dug in and held a line. In short, I'm very impressed.  btw, the Double Drafts are really sweet. rpg
