  1. @adamcord What length was the NRG?
  2. @Horton - perhaps a BOS volume discount on one puck upgrades could be worked out!
  3. We use Wally for turn and gate buoys. Boat guides are Polyform that we paint with Flexabar Buoy Coating for PVC & Inflatable Vinyl Buoys. I thought we would re-paint every year, but we're in the third year with just minor touch-up. Very satisfied.
  4. Jarus I have an ECOM cable at LightHouse Cove. Email me at weappa@yahoo
  5. I voted a couple of times and am telling all my friends to vote.
  6. I bought my calipers from Newegg.com Great service, delivery, return policies, etc. Very happy with the calipers for $25.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0400009770
  7. @mad11 How are the Wallyskier buoys holding up?
  8. Both my wife and I are on Fusions - love them. Easy to ski, consistent, and fast enough to recover from a stumble on those rare events when one occurs and you're still on top of the water.
  9. Horton - Miss America vs. Miss Universe
  10. Great thread Jody - I have an '08 SN with ZeroOff that has got to be the toughest boat I've ever skied behind. I am also running the stock prop that is a bit large for the 5280 altitude in Colorado, so I would suspect some extra slippage due to that. I plan on investigating the prop change to tame this beast. Thanks for the work and sharing it.
  11. I've been thinking about Horton's what now title to this discussion. I suggest sponsorship and moderation of periodic webinars with pros, big dawgs, etc. It would be great for the ballers to participate in presentations and Q&A session with guys like Chris Rossi, Chet Railey, Chris Parrish, and some of the top gals - Whitney, Karen, Regina. Topics like technique, gates, training methods, strength and conditioning, and ski measurement and set-up come to mind. I use gotowebinar in my business during the day and would gladly "donate" it for periodic evening webinars. Thoughts?
  12. I bought my overhead lift from Lunmar. http://www.lunmarboatlifts.com/ I had a 94 Mastercraft PS190 on it previously, now a 2008 SN196. The version I have has the coiling pipe mounted on the side. This prevents grease from dropping on the boat or boat cover if you should over grease. It also makes it easier to maintain and work on the unit. I have a lift on another lake that is center mounted and I much prefer the side mount. Using cradles on both lifts.
  13. damn, I just want to ski like Norm
  14. Did Horton say the pro skier was a "he"? Well, I would like to ask "her" about training routines, what is your typical week's schedule of training by day. Number of sets, speed, line length, how do you decide what to focus on, who do you train with, use for critique, do you video, etc.Â
  15. I use polyforms - the yellows fade here in Colorado within a year, two years max. I keep thinking we need to come up with large bright yellow condoms to put over them if you get the idea.  Business case doesn't justify it though.  I've tried paint, but it leaves marks on the boat. I know, don't hit em.  Need to check into the RIT dye. Does it leave marks?Â
  16. Don't plan on skiing through the winter as it freezes here in Colorado. But we typically put the space suits on and ski into December before slapping on the tele skis.  As the water is getting colder, I've been thinking about slowing the boat down by .5 to 1 mph, through the end of the season. It's either that or some fin tweaking. Any thoughts regarding slowing the boat down, fin tweaking, or both, for the colder water?
  17. Great job on the cast and the tweets John. I really enjoyed listening to Matt Brown yesterday, great technical comments. Saw him ski at Laku - the guy can ski, has to be one of the favs for the dawg. Dave Goode -bummer on his injury. I dumped my powershells years ago for a reason, been riding the RS-1's since with none of the velcro issues.
  18. I just ski easy passes - I always feel better after running 4 or 6 passes.Â
  19. Eric - most of us know you, pretty hard to be intimidatedÂÂ
