  1. Talking to Drew Ross last fall and he said the first thing he would tell any skier at any level is to start using a rear toe binding. He said it’s the only way to have proper balance. When I skied with Andy Mapple years ago he made one to fit my foot. After 5 of the ugliest passes ever he laughed and said we should put my rear boot back on! I did eventually switch to the Reflex half boot!
  2. Check all 3 fin measurements.
  3. If you are using the Vapor boot with the reflex release make sure to keep an eye on the two screws that are on the toe piece of the boot. Mine were very loose and it allowed the boot to flex upward and the toe of the boot was able to come out from under the toe loop of the reflex. Made for an ugly crash. I put some red loctite on those screws and will def keep a closer eye on them in the future!
  4. For real dummies I would suggest leaving the engine cover in the open position and trailer it down the highway at about 85 mph. for 5 miles. Then simply turn around and pick up the pieces on the way back! Seen it done and it definitely works!
  5. One of our Cedar Ridge skiers is heading to Idaho and will be looking for a place to ski! She is a fantastic young person and a really good W1 skier. She has skied at Cedar Ridge since she was old enough to walk and runs into 35 off. She will be living in Lewiston Id. and working as an Engineer at the Clearwater Paper Co. Thanks in advance for any info.
  6. Triple J ski club in Dallas has a 2015 200 OB for sale at a great price! It’s on SIA.
  7. My dad started his boat repair career in the mid 1950s and used to say crank em down till they snap and back em off a quarter turn. Hope that helps!
  8. How many hours on the plugs cap and rotor?
  9. I lowered the toe bar on mine by .030 by making shorter collar washers!
  10. @Thager, and we all know that 1 is the loneliness number!
  11. I cant say if there are any changes other than graphics but mine is a LP2 and ive had it for a month.
  12. I have to agree my LP2 feels very fast and stable, I am really liking it!
  13. I have the boat video from the 19 big dog at the ridge! He was here!
  14. After putting my hands on one yesterday and swapping the DC to another ski for a guy, i see issues! The inserts in the ski better be in the exact proper location or problems could exist. Also the rubber inside the toe piece was peeling away and bunching up inside the toe piece! I am going to take a closer look at the heel clamp as John describes it may have more clearance for the rear screw on my plate which quite often is in a bad spot. I may add the heel piece to my existing plate!
  15. @mike_mapplei watched your dad measure the dft on my ski with it standing tail up 5 times and it read within .001 every time!
  16. Man I was there last weekend, I would love to go that weekend but our Record tourney at the Ridge is the same dates!
  17. I was able to mount a donated electric awning on the west/ lake facing side of our central judging tower. In the late afternoon even the judges toes are in the shade! Happy Judges Priceless!
  18. 2 diff color fin blocks and 8 diff fins. First $50 takes it!
  19. My first non wood ski! Bought it at the original Munson Marine in Volvo Illinois. wish I still had it.
  20. The adjusting screw on the back would slide the wedges to clamp the fin in place. the top screws moved the depth and length with a cam type adjuster. I am sure another ancient baller could explain it better! If you agree to test all the fins in the kit I will send it to you!
  21. @HortonLonnie showed this to me! He dug it out of a drawer in his boat house. There are a bunch of other shapes of fins with it. It’s never been mounted on a ski. He would prolly sell the whole thing if some collector made him an offer!
  22. When I set mine up with the reflex release I lowered the toe bar by .030 by making shorter collar spacers. I also added a couple nylon pieces to keep my heel centered on the plate. I used the offset plate from Radar and set the release tension on dry land as in the video. It has worked perfectly.
