Save Hall of Fame for True Legends. Seems to be great guy but not the right fit yet

Used my Evo2 vest last night for first time. This vest is outstanding. Great fit, great floatation, excellent construction. Holds no water. I am between sizes and decided to go up. Glad I did. I've tried a bunch of vests over the years and this is hands down the best! Great job Stokes

@Thomasasher is flotation about the same?

Bigger skis require more gradual application of power or you will get pulled forward.

I’ve heard vests run small. Are nitro vests available in 3xl?

Same thing happened to me on vacation one year. Went to ace hardware and bought common plumbing parts and short segment of hose to temporarily bypass. Easy fix and worked great

@skidawg @28-32@34 mph how much will a 67” support

For the past 6 months a crazy amount of chatter about Whisper Fin on BOS. Seems like recently has moved to radio silence. Looks like advertising gone as well. Maybe everyone is just out skiing?

Am l the only one that thinks this is silly? In my mind given all of the variables involved there really can be no such thing as world record. Even with tight tolerances, the combined favorable variation of multiple variables could easily de-standardize an event and provide more favorable conditions. The slide rule guys should be the first to point this out. Rules really are to make sure we are competing in the same sport. In the real world weather and water conditions alone probably effect negative performances 10:1.

 

World standings points should be performance based and adjusted with consideration to size and strength of competitive field. Given the nature of our sport I think that we should be doing nothing other than cheering anyone that that runs into 43 off and also thanking those that donated countless hours to put on an event to make It possible. Just my opinion

EEC is easy test. Find friend with GT-40, borrow his for a few hours and install in your boat. If all symptoms gone you have answer, if not guess keep looking. In 1999 EEC was reprogramed to help with idle speed at start up but otherwise the same. Lots of stuff on Planet Nautique if you do search.

If you are still having problems and plan on working on GT-40 yourself, consider getting a Star code reader. Good info on Planet Nautique if you do search

Todd started Whisper Fin review on YouTube but looks like it was removed. Kind of Odd? I was really looking forward to his thoughts.

@Chris Rossi despite the fact that my 2018 vapor pro build “68 is my favorite ski of all time I couldn’t resist pulling the trigger on 67” pro build senate this winter. Skiing 32 @34 and at 225 # I’m upper end for the vapor, but thinking that .2 extra width of senate may be the boom! I’ve tried 69” vapor but always come back to 68. Excited to get season started

@Horton Thanks John for stepping up and giving the WF a rip because for many of us 300$ is out of budget to take a test drive. A couple of questions

-Did you feel more acceleration from ski?

-Did you feel less Drag?

-How much forward binding movement are we talking about to compensate for the small fin area and forward fin.

 

@horton I think we were all wondering if this was going to be a game changer. I actually think your pass on stock fin @32 off looks great. Interested in your remarks to come

Would you say that your stock fin settings are set to optimize performance @ 38 off?

Looks like reduced fin surface area. Other than holes, is the size and shape it whisper fin similar to this fin from 25 years ago?
