  1. Call Kris LaPoint, Leza Harrison or "Wild" Bill walker.
  2. Unlike bass boats, pontoon boats and personal watercraft, the ski boat manufacturers are running behind and sold out for the year. The dealers must make 15-20% margins to exist. Most ski boat dealers do not like skiers. Skiers always have a deal and don't account for enough profit for a dealer to worry about. A skier costs a dealer a spray date and a boat that they(the dealer) could make a nice margin on. So, why worry about them? I send my dealer many buyer per year that they make a fair margin on. Not skiers but families and boarders. My dealer takes good care of me and we have a great relationship. But, why wouldn't we when he sells 8-10 $70,000.00+ boats that I send him each year? I think that it really doesn't matter if the public knows the cost of a boat or not. If they want it, they will have to cough it up. The used car market has become the same. It doesn't matter what NADA, Black Book, or Kelly Blue Book say. With the shortage of NICE vehicles out there, the buyer will have to pay up if he/she wants the ride. Dealers don't care what the banks and lenders tell the customer about the value of what they are buying or trading. Banks and lenders run about 1-2 months behind on current values and they don't buy cars and boats or sell cars and boats unless they are repossessed. People are wasting their time. Time is money.
  3. Went flying past 3 ball at 35' off many years ago in West Memphis. Little did I know that the water was 2" deep out between 3 and 5 ball. The LaPoint Pro with the double wing stopped dead and I did 5 end over end face plants. Knocked me goofy. I guess that I still am.
  4. I hit a goose with my shin at max speed behind the boat. The beak hit my shin and it was much worse than hitting the trailer ball mount with your shin. It almost made me puke.
  5. Link to some of my shots taken the past 3 years with a Cannon 30D and standard Sigma 70-300. I really want the 70-200 with the IS (image stabilization) feature. But the Sigma does well in good light. https://picasaweb.google.com/106051890801515886608/SKISHOTS?feat=directlink
  6. The tongues could be a little wider on the front and rear. You have to center them up after putting them on. I tied the bungee laces up in the front in order to make them have less excess hangin' out the top. I think the design is wonderful. They aren't as easy to put on as Animals or Leverages but worth the stability.
  7. I love my T-Factors. I had D-3 Leverages for 3 years and Animals for at least 8 years before that. The T-Factors have amazing lateral stability like hard shells but they are soft enough front-to-rear to let you bail if need be. I definitely say get them or at least a front. There are 4 sets of T-Factors with my ski group. That's 4 out of 6. I bet you'll see more soon. A+
  8. Horton, I can't believe that you ain't coming to Tennessee to enjoy our public lake with us. The bass boats, wave runners and yahoos will change your perspective. It is great practice too. 1. You learn to keep your knees soft. 2. You learn to wait on a tight line. 3. If you can't control the handle, it'll control you. 4. The "after the tows" brewskis are xtra cold and we are only an 8 hour ride to the Lakes of Darwin!
  9. What! Are there no jumpers in the group? What short lists.
  10. You can't teach an old dawg new tricks. Don't try it, it will only make the dawg mad. Find a ski that fits the dawg's style' don't try to fit the dawg to the ski's style.
  11. Horton quit jumping WAY too soon!
  12. Shane, There is a difference in a "Garage Sale", and a "Yard Sale"!
  13. Try the D-3 T-Factor. Rubber Rocks, Stiff laterally, soft forward and back!
  14. Hedlund made the Joe Cash Concave. My first competition ski after the Cypress Gardens Lil' Monster (that I still have)(Billy Spencer Tournament Bevel). Torque, MasterCraft, Northland, Excel (have one at the lake), Saucier, Lund, SkiMaster, SkiCraft, Sea Gliders, EP, and more.
  15. Tricks: Waste of perfectly good boat gas. Waste of perfectly good web space. A necessary evil for overall. I don't like it but try it a few time a year. Maybe I'll try it a little more this year. Possibly at night when nobody can see and it won't cut into slalom and jump time.
  16. Good job Kona! If you're gonna be dumb, you'd better be tough!
  17. I think the Coefficient X is the perfect ski for you!
  18. At my age it isn't about PB's it is about consistency !
  19. 58. Going on 28. You are only as old as you act. I am older than Horton.
  20. After 48 years of slaloms and slalom courses, I finally decided to try and record my sets on your log. We will see how this works./vanilla2/uploads/FileUpload/18/758.jpg
  21. My 93's are somewhere in the 31" Range (I think). I put them on and ride them. I move the bindings forward until I feel them grab and slow down, then, I move them back a hole. When I increase the boat speed from 32 to 37, I move them back. Speed lifts tails and pushes tips down. I like this, getting fired up./vanilla2/uploads/FileUpload/17/757.jpg
