I remember them all. I do have a pair of Ricky McCormick TrikMasters that have never been drilled for bindings. I have my Mom's jumpers from the late 40's. HydroFlyte Water Sprites with double fins. They are cool. They still have her plates on them. I need to make some new bindings for them. I have my 48 year old Billy Spencer Tournament Bevel Lil' Monster and an aray of MasterCraft slaloms.
Show up with a 96" 3-Event bag that weighs 79.9 pounds and see what Delta does to your wallet. The Southwest guys are way more sympathetic to your wallet. They don't charge excess baggage about half the time. Delta takes a pound of flesh!
If you can find a dealer that can work a deal with Malibu not to sacrifice a spray date for another boat, you just might be in luck. I would do it now. If you wait til' fall the model run for 2012 will be sold out and 1. you won't get a deal and 2. you won't get a choice of color and equipment. I had this happen to some frienda last year. They called about Thanksgiving and I told them to get it done quickly. They did not listen and waited til' the boat show Jan.8th. The dealer was sold out and had to change an order. They got it July1st. Dealers make $ on non-ski boats. Why would they cut a deal on a boat if it cost them thousands. I suggest you get with the program today! Or wait and pay another 10K
Try a headlight restoration kit. Harbor freight has em. Toothpaste could work too. Use a foam buffing pad. The old owner's manuals said to clean with Pledge. I have a plastic windshield on my 66 Nautique. I use pledge on it and it is in remarkable condition.
That ski shown is probably a 70 Model. It is Ash as were the 1966-70 years. Mahogany came later. They broke every set.
Waterskichick, the first of the fiberglass EP/O'brien were introduced at the 71 Nationals. They were white with a red racing stripe down them. The red and blue O'Briens were introduced later in the year after Herb and Denny split. The 73 model Mach-1's had an aluminum top. Good luck. I know where there are a few, but, they live in my attic.
