  1. Think Young! Cold water DOES cause shrinkage! Thanks Brent!
  2. After a set today, I stretched my rope(Non-switch) next to a friend's rope (a switch rope) and mine was shorter by 4". I need a good, long lasting, actual slalom rope.
  3. I still trick on 2 skis. Never waste perfectly good boat gas on tricks. Surfing is more fun.
  4. SkiFly is still a viable website. Especially for jumpers. If you aren't a jumper, it is probably not for you. After competing for 46 years, I am still trying to figure it out. Am I a jumper that wants to be a slalom skier OR a slalom skier that wants to be a jumper? If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Ham Wallace Original Baller
  5. With a Malibu LXI, 5.7 Monsoon. 1 mile drive to ski course, 4 34 mph sets, 5-6 passes per set. 1 mile back to ramp. 2 gallons mid-grade used. Haven't measured the 6.0 litre but might be a touch more, not enough to worry about. 36 mph sets are a different matter.
  6. Radius handle, fixed mine. (along with cold beer and advil)
  7. The Co-X is the most fun that I have had on a slalom ski in YEARS! Worth the try. Big easy "schoolbus" turns at 28, Starts coming around at 32, Hammers it at 35 and "better hang on" at 38!
  8. C'mon Jeff. There is NO making sense of it! We are just attempting to justify our pain!
  9. It's hard enough, why make it harder? (Rob Shirley, MasterCraft Boats, 1980). I think that starting out heavy with a little winter weight is a good thing. It will give you a better work out and make you stronger in the long haul (sorer in the early season). As the winter sweater departs, you will be stronger for having pulled those extra pounds around the bouys. Then it will get easier. 2 bottles of Advil LiquiGels later, voila, summer skiing condition.
  10. Nuthin' can get you ready for Mr. Slalom Course. After hacking at it for almost 50 years, I have determined that : You will be sore! Advil is my friend! I missed my buddies! I can't wait for the season! MS is wrong! Horton is right!
  11. C'mon Horton, man up. Advil needs the business! (the official party mint os Ballers everywhere)!
  12. Oldie but goodie: "Enter Course With Hips Forward".
  13. Clean balls are happy balls! A little new paint may give them a new outlook on life!
  14. This "Dream about Skiing" Poll has got to go. Time for the Which GTF do you dream about?
  15. Ham: Adjusts fins with a screwdriver and a hammer. Loves public lakes with bass boats, wakeboard boats and wally's pulling inflatables. Skis behind anyone that will drive. Favorite beer: COLD Glad to be a Baller!
  16. MS. Are you saying I resemble that remark?
