  1. Oh yeah, Sully is right. Go to public waters, then let em rip!
  2. At the Nats I heard the A-3 should be ready in about 3 weeks. I would equate that as the final design stages with CNC molds ready shortly after. My uneducated prediction would be Thanksgivingish.
  3. Webbdawg, You are a bit shallow for normal water temps. If you are skiing in hot water (like 95 degrees) you may need shallow to keep the skis' speed. As the water cools, you'll need to go to more stock settings.
  4. Plenty of good points here. Keep it up. Well said Leon.
  5. 99 Malibu Response LX, OB. Trunk holds 3 slaloms, cooler in floor, diamond hull, Get the Monsoon 320 HP. Very fuel efficient and smooth. Great ride.
  6. Be in Wednesday through Saturday. Ski Thurs./Fri. Men 5 (Boys 8). Team Tennessee!
  7. Team Tennessee has a good rate for rooms for the Nationals in WPB. The Omphoy Beach Hotel (Formerly the Hilton Oceanfront Resort) has cut us a deal. $125.00 plus tax per night. I just got an e-mail from them that there are 5 rooms remaining. They will hold them until 6 PM EST Monday 8/6. You can check out the remodeled facility at www.omphoy.com The phone numbers are (561)-540-6440 or (888) 344-4321. Use "Team Tennessee" for your discount code. Please only fun people apply. The rate includes parking and local hotel/motel taxes. The usual rates are $149.00-$179.00 this time of year plus $25.00 per day parking. It is a fun place and a great beach and pool. We have been staying there for years.
  8. Webbdawg, Team Tennessee has a great rate at the Omphoy Beach Hotel for the Nat's. (561)540-6440 or (888) 344-4321 Use Buzzword Team Tennessee for the rate. $125.00 plus tax. includes parking and local hotel/motel taxes. good beach, good bar, good fun. 9. I'll come down as long as there is no LSU stuff in the lake's name. LOL
  10. Jody is correct. Time on the skis is KEY! It is impossible to clock in quality time on a private slalom pond. It is time for rivers, big lakes and open water.ride the skis, launch over the wakes, learn to edge and make plenty of turns. Long jump pulls on a 75' rope are much more effort than short slalom pulls that are 8/10's of a second. Once Junior can clear BOTH wakes on the jump skis, then, it's time to go to the "big red wedge"! DO NOT tell him the day before he gets to go over it. He won't sleep the night before. (Still addicted after 47 years of jumping)
  11. 91 on Percy Priest Lake (just east of Nashville) last night.
  12. I skied for 52 years with a rear toe strap before switching to double boots. I never had a problem coming out of the rear boot. BUT, the shorter set ups sent me to a double boot. I think that it has caused some torque on my hips that the kick-in never did. Some ask why I don't just stay with the kick in and get up with my rear foot in? Well, I always used the bad-ass sand paper type non-skid and kicking in in the water is not an option.
  13. My Eagle is getting quite ripe also. I have found that soaking in a bathtub with a dash of Simple Green will do the trick.
  14. When in doubt? Call Jody seal!
  15. Lucille was an honorary Team Tennessee Nasty Boy sweetheart. She was a wonderful person. I met her in Ohio in 1966 (my first year competing).
  16. http://www.chemindustry.com/chemicals/082718.html Karmex Diuron Herbicide, CAS Number: 56449-18-4
  17. We ski on public water. One of the guys put those in. I tied them under the first day. They never were seen again. Maybe he pulled them down when he finished, or maybe he just pulled them out. Very distracting.
  18. MasterLine K-palms or master curves. Red and Black with kevlar on the heels of your palms. Not on the fingers Almyra fingers. They must have discontinued them b ecause they lasted too long. Straightline Rockets are good too.
