  1. I have the same question. I have the latest StarGazer. To upgrade, do I need to purchase both the Z Box and the "No Magnet" upgrade stick or is the "No Magnet" only for those upgrading older StarGaszer units. Since the "NO Magnet" feature is a no brainier, I need to know if I will be paying $439.00 or $538.00 for the complete upgrade.

PerfectPass sets price for new Z Box and software upgrade at $439. Availability in limited numbers is expected by year end. As part of the new software package, all Star Gazer Three Event Systems will soon feature “No Magnet Timing”, eliminating the need for course magnets and Smart Timer Magnet Sensor. Any existing Star Gazer client will be able to purchase a software upgrade stick at $99 if they wish to add this “No Magnet” feature to their existing system.

  2. I turn the off side with my rear foot, I reach down the course and do not move out or swing out like I do on the heel side, the ski stays pretty flat not really going on edge in the pre-turn. I push the tail around with the rear foot and muscle back across at 35 off 34 mph. My body is in a C shape with the weight obviously on the rear foot. I've been trying to correct this for years. If there is one thing I can work on in a week to fix this, what would it be?
  3. Jody, a while back you mention upgrading the rudder port on my 97 Nautique with a newer style that is maintenance free and does not need grease. Can you tell me where to purchase this type of rudder port and who manufactures them? In addition, yesterday I drove a 2008 196 and noticed the steering wheel had a larger diameter and it steered easier, do you sell the larger diamenter steering wheels?
  4. Jody, I have heard the 97 Nautiques do not have a greasing fitting on the rudder port, is this true for all 97's? Do you recommend installing a grease fitting if one is not already installed? Are there any other modifications to the steering you recommend for the 97 Nautique?
  5. How does a novice keep track of his favorite pro skier? I would like to see one site I could visit that would tell me how my favorite pro skier finished for every tournament. For example, I want to know how Chris Rossi is skiing this year, the tournaments he has skied in, and where he placed in each. I would also like to see what brand of ski each pro is riding. I would also like to know what brand of ski my least favorite pro is riding.
