  1. @jimbrake - Great thread, I am a lefty and I am having this exact same problem at the same rope length and sounds like this is the point that causes problems for a lot of skiers. Your description of nailing the one ball is exactly what I feel. Then for me it feels like I am coming into 2 ball hot. Then I go out and do it again like an idiot. I need to change something. I can't wait to get out this morning and try some of these recommendations and hopefully figure it out.
  2. Anyone know where I can get a used non-tunable Ski Nautique rudder for my 1997 Ski Nautique? I am hoping someone from the site might have upgraded to a newer tunable rudder and would like get rid of there old one.
  3. Marketing 101. If it is about winning then watch Nate Smith and choose his brand...no one can argue it is the the best! I went to my first pro tournament last fall at Katy and the first thing I realized is that all the skiers had the same technique and it did not look like the Ski made much difference. Nate won that tournament and my bet is he could do it on any one of the top skis. So...my point is, it is all just marketing with ski manufactures. If CP beat Nate at Masters I may have bought into AM Skis. With that said, I guess I will just get back to working hard and hoping it pays off. No one will argue that CP can break his own world record, but in his position it is going to cost one of the ski manufactures a few bucks. If he doesn't break the record this year who will he sign with next?
  4. @Horton stock settings as delivered from the factory? Did you measure them yourself to confirm?

or did you setup the fin using

Factory settings from Radar web page

    or

    Recemmended settings by Rini

    or

Recommended settings by Rossi from BallofSpray Forum

  5. Thanks Jody, I Just wanted to make sure I didn't over due it with a big cheater bar. It is also nice to know the approx. torque so you do not try to continue tightening the pylon u-bolts if you have another problem. My phylon is not noticably loose but I want to check it. It does make some strange noises with a big skier really reefing on it.
  6. You forgot to mention the fancy new Sequence plate Eddie put on there for you, he must have thrown that in so you can use a current plate the next time you take pictures measuring your binding distance from tail. Take that plate off and the ski is just slightly heavier than the Strada. I can't wait to hear how it skis.
  7. I've had terrible experience with O'Neil repair. Sent one of my Assault hybrids to them twice. Asked them to leak test it and repair it. First time I was told it needed a new zipper and a left leg seal. $200.00 later with shipping and the suit still leaked. Sent it back and they replaced a wrist seal. Suit still leaks. I will never deal with O'Neil repair again. It is cheaper to just order a new suit. In my opinion the Assault hybrid is the the best dry suit for pure slalom skiing. My point is, do not waste money on shipping and repairs. The suits last one or two years at best and then need to be replaced.
  8. The contours of the top deck on the 196 are a lot smoother near the back of the boat and prevent the rope from getting hung up when picking up a skier. The 200 has big flat rubber pads with hinges sticking up that the rope can hang up on. The drivability and wake are near perfect on the 200, but what is with the long windshield and those hinges. Function must have been traded for style. And what happened to the glove box storage and cooler on 200. Where are you suppose to keep the beer, tools, junk, buoy pump, etc. without getting out of the drivers seat.
