  1. It appears porpoise means different things to different people. I told a fellow skier I felt my ski was porpoising just after the wake going into my offside turn at 35 off. I said it felt like the tip would go down just a bit and the tail would come up and vice versa. Kind of like teeter totter. My friend did not think what I described was propoising. What does it mean to the BOS guys when you say the ski is porpoising going into the offside turn?
  2. @MS - Forgot to mention, for the money I have never gotten a better deal (I paid $269.00) on a hybrid drysuit than the one from Jobe. I consider Jobe/O'Neill Hybrid the best design for Slalom. Just enough room to wear my Eagle vest underneath for impact protection.
  3. @LakeOneSkier - Funny the Jobe Dry Suit is listed with different model numbers. Your link has the Large in stock, but it is $269.00. When I added the suit to the cart, I was pleased to see it qualified for free shipping.
  4. For all practical purposes, it is the exact same suit including the YKK zipper. It appears to be built by the same manufacture in China, quality is as good or better than the O"neill. I started the season on my 4th O'Neill Assault. They usually last me up to two seasons then they are junk. I do not expect the Jobe to last any longer. Never send the O'Neill Assault to O'Neill for repair, they never get it right and by the time you pay for the repair and shipping back and fourth it cost less to buy a new suit. I noticed the large is out of stock on the Jobe site. I sure hope Jobe keeps producing them.
  5. @rq0013 - Where did you find 2013 stock fin numbers? I am looking at 2 feet of ice so I decided to check the fin settings the ski came with to establish my baseline. The wing is set at 7 degrees, length 6.787 with Jaws & 6.840 with tips, DFT .782, Depth 2.505. These were taken with Digital Slot Caliper. Are these the stock numbers you are running? I really like the new Fin Block; it is an impressive piece of craftsmanship.
  6. @501Brandon - We are having the coldest spring on record. The lakes are just beginning to break up. We'll be in drysuits for a while. If the weather improves look me up and I will show you TW's site on Kings Lake.
  7. @efw - I do not have the elusive upgrade you mention. I have been waiting to hear if the update addresses the main concerns expressed by BallofSpray users and other serious competitive skiers. Your idea for a portable display the skier can read from the transom is genius. The problem I have with this is I would only use it during the initial setup, so I am not sure I could justify the cost. But it sure would be nice not have to ask the driver to read you the times.

@mattp - PP has the option to show all buoy times, but you have to press the up arrow at the end of the pass. I would like to see PP auto display the times by default. If enough users agree, we could suggest this feature be included in future updates.

  8. How do you tell if the boat is coming in hot at the gates? I may have this same problem and would like to know how you measure the time in that area. Now that I think about it, ZO always feels a little slow thru the gates compared to my boat. I just assumed my boat was able hold the speed better. If this is a real problem, I can't imagine why this could not be corrected by PP if we asked as a user group.
