  1. When is nationals? That is usually when we will see the new graphics from Radar for the Vapor, unless of course, one of our friends here at ballofspray like @eddie_roberts_jr is able to give us a sneak speak, which would be fitting considering the amount of attention the Radar ballers are providing to the ski.
  2. It would be good to develop some baselines before making such a determination. With ZO, what brand of boat, motor combination are we comparing to? All the big name tournament boats with ZO feel different to me when switching at tournaments. The same is true when practicing behind different boats with PP. I have PP zBox on 97 SN with the GT-40, the pull and settings are pretty close to my friends 2010 SN 200 with ZO. I have heard short setups can be a problem with PP but have no personal experience. But I have also heard of ZO boats surging or shutting down in the middle of a pass. It is for these reasons and more we need some baseline comparisons before jumping to conclusions when comparing which setting on ZO is closest to original PP.
  3. I can't read which numbers, metric or feet, are on the shirt? I think it should be both, that way when I watch a tournament I can look at the shirt to figure out which rope length the skier is at in feet. Most announcers use metric and I do not know the conversion method without a calculator.
  4. @Horton Any chance of chance of getting another original BallOfSpray T-Shirt, the one with the laundry list of all the items that need checked and all the things on our mind when we ski? That T-Shirt was the subject of more conversations than any T-Shirt I have ever worn, not to mention it was written in slalom skier language!
  5. @nomad41 - Can you tell us the make, year, model, engine, propeller, Perfect Pass type, and software version on the boat you skied behind. All these things make a big difference to what you are experiencing. I found out last summer when I went to a tournament I could feel a big difference between the 2015 MasterCraft and 2015 Nautique both were ZO boats. The MasterCraft felt a little more forgiving after I got use to it. I practice behind a 1997 Nautique GT-40 with PP Stargazer w/Z-Box and a 2011 Nautique 200. The two boats feel much closer than the example above with 2015 Nautique 200 and the new 2015 Mastercraft both running ZO. I think some of the big factors with PP Stargazer w/Z-Box is engine, transmission and propeller configuration, you also have to factor in drive by wire are throttle cable. In my case with my 1997 Nautique GT-40 throttle cable driven and ACME 422, you have a boat with a very high power to weight ratio that quickly responds to throttle input. The only problem I ever had, which was easily corrected, was the servo forcing the engine to respond to fast making the pull feel more difficult and unforgiving. I now have the system dialed in so that there is no perceptible difference, that I sense, between the 2011 Nautique 200 with ZO and the 1997 Nautique with PP Stargazer w/Z-box. I base this on the fact my tournament scores behind ZO boats are identical to my practice scores behind my PP Stargazer w/Z=Box.
