  1. There are more tournament boats in Alaska than you would think. There are 8 on the lake I live on. I would guess 50 or more in the State including several 200s. There are at least five active slalom courses within a 30 mile radius of my house located on Wasilla Lake a short drive from Anchorage.
  2. I'm curious, why are skiers on BOS recommending Carbitex Vapor users toss the plastic stiffeners? I tried the boots with and without them and with different combinations (one on my inside ankle, etc.) I settled with both stiffeners in the front boot and no stiffeners in my back boot. With this configuration I feel more comfortable than without them. I think it's not a bad idea to give them a try after getting comfortable with the bindings and decide for yourself to use them or not.
  3. I would like to be able to view the scores on BallofSpray website. Next to the score, I would like to see the ski brand and model the skier is riding, the boat manufacture that pulled the pass. The list should include all participants so you can see where your favorite skiers missed their passes.
  4. @mbabiash - Thanks, there is a bit of confusion concerning the late model 2016 Vapors that have the new 2017 fin and fin block which is the same as the new 2017 Vapor Pro-Build, and the 2016 Vapors that have the 2016 fin and fin block. If you have a late model 2016 Vapor or 2017 Vapor Pro-Build with the new fin and fin block, you have to be very careful you don't try and chase 2016 Vapor settings that have last years fin and fin block, they are different! I'd like to give a big shout out to @SkiJay for bringing the difference between the 2017 fin and fin block to the attention of all of us here at ballofspray, @SkiJay recommendations are spot on.
  5. @SkiJay - Have you come up with any additional conversions for fin differences between the 2016 & 2017 Pro-Build? The first recommendations in your post above from September 15th really helped and I recommend everyone riding the Pro-build consider trying them.
  6. @richfoster - Let us know how it works out with ski size and tuning on the 17 Vapor. It's nice to hear what works for the guys at your level in your division, I am catching up age wise, but a full pass behind your tournament PB. I am 6'2" 190+ and just started riding the 17 in a 67". I only have a few sets on the ski and it is working pretty good. The ski took me to my average on my last set and I was pleasantly surprised to get there so quick on a new ski.
