  1. @eleeski Thanks for a super set. You know a tricker is good when he sayes pull the rope if I scream. 5 miles of wagontrail road was worth it. Does that lake have a name ?
  2. Surefoot. Dense uva material, custom milled/contoured to your foot. Use em in my touring, alpine boots and in HO animals. " www.surefoot.com Surefoot Orthotics provide an accurate and exceptional foundation to improve comfort, performance, and efficiency in all your activities. We begin by taking a computerized scan of the bottom of your foot. While the scanner is working, we rotate your ankle, placing your foot in “sub talar neutral.” This “neutral position” is the strongest skeletal stance that your foot can hold in athletic activities. The scan in this position results in better alignment, and improves support for your knees, hips, and back.
  3. We get kicked out of the condo Sat AM, heading for Bako w/Galli @ Gurnetts. Thur or Fri would nail it. Pulled out of Crystal Mtn last Tue and packed away the snow stuff, unless it dumps again at Whistler.
  4. 88* and sun ! Won't see that in Seattle till August. Got the next week in PSP and would love to mooch a ski ride. Great at wiping down boats, pulling weeds etc. Once pulled a guy who knew how to ski thru the course and he didn't complain too much.
  5. Some very smart guys told me LFFs have a hard time getting the ski turned and and building cross course angle, leading to skiing at 1 ball and slam dunking the 1st turn. Since going out hard at the 55s and 1 handing it my 1 ball is much more relaxed.
  6. You might consider a 69 Sixam 2pt. Dirt cheap, yet has the same high dollar core as the Elite. VERY similar to the ski Parrish had at Diablo last weekend. Other candidate would be the SS in 69 (green bottom) I rode both from INT wide ride @30 thru 34-32 and at 58k when I was a little bigger. Got out of the 200 club and 66 Goode Wide works well.
  7. Sheesh, I know I'm better lookin in person. Thanks for the nice shot. 3rd place finisher in m6 ! !
  8. Treat skis like boats. Just bring your binders and ski whatever is on the dock. On second thought leave the Wileys at home and use whatever is on the ski on the dock. Lot less frustration and like Zero Gazer it will make you a better skier.
  9. Nice work. Super day with the Ams, can't wait for the Pros tomorrow.
  10. I'm tucked in the eucalyptus trees, lakeside. Party on Greg's patio. Who's gonna gonna help schlep sound gear in the morning ?
  11. I live just 10 hours away. Can I park my 40foot motorhome in your driveway and wire up 50 amp power for my 2 roof ac s ? By the way please keep your cotton pickin hands off my PA system or I'll play 'dub music all weekend.
  12. Overuse never ends well. I aggravated beyond normal wear and tear knee pain with a pretty nasty snowski fall. Failed PT, nip and tuck clean up etc. Hooked up withregenexx.com/2010/09/dr-centenos-new-book-on-regenerative-orthopedics/and haven't looked back. My knee doc became a patient to fix his own failed shoulder surgery !

  14. Best I've found. The foam core of the 2.0 is the same high dollar core used in the Elite which provides a very consistent flex. seems o me the 2 guys @AM skis designed the 2.0 in a past life.
  15. I took a nasty tumble in the backcountry at whistler in Jan 2010, tore the meniscus, ripped my calf etc etc. Had award winning knee doc perform nip and tuck, 6 months later I still had problems running a pass, couldn't snow ski for more than 2 hours. His answer was replace both knees. Glad I found regenexx.com/the-regenexx-procedures/knee-surgery-alternatives/ I'm skiing as well, if not better after 2 stemcell treatments. The stemcells came from MY bone marrow. Nobody elses DNA involved. The docs in Denver are former ski patrolers, they get it. Minimal discomfort, minimal rehab and no frankenjunk in my joints. They also solved some chronic back issues and tightened up my torn mcl & acl. From thier web site. Regenexx Stem Cell Procedure for Knee PainThe Regenexx-Family™ of Knee Surgery Alternatives are breakthrough, non-surgical stem-cell treatments for people suffering from knee pain due to common injuries or other degenerative problems. If you have encountered an injury to the knee meniscus, ACL or MCL, cartilage or have chronic knee pain due to a past injury or osteoarthritis (also known as “degenerative joint disease” or “wear and tear arthritis of the knee”), you may be a good candidate for the Regenexx Procedure. Traditional options for patients suffering from these issues include arthroscopic knee surgery to repair ligament tears, or total knee joint replacement. With both surgeries, months of rehab are required, and the patient must be aware of and prepared to take on the risks. As a knee surgery or knee replacement alternative, the Regenexx-SD procedure may help alleviate knee pain and the conditions that cause it with a simple office injection procedure. Patients are encouraged to walk the same day, and most experience little to no down time from the procedure." />" />" />

  17. Finally a question I can answer ! http://www.domednumbers.com These guys are great ! from simple raised registration numbers to full on one of a kind graphics packages. We used them for several years with INT, nifty raised stickers for ski and boats and gonzo good truck window logo splashes. Thanks for making me feel useful !
  18. The fellow we contracted our sound system at the last INT US Championships gave me the 411 on the history dating back to when he was a kid and the area was the Arvin Gun and Hunt Club. The 90' skeet tower is still on the corner of Milleux road where he loaded skeet, did barrel and box birds for all the Hollywood stars who would convoy up from LA for a weekend of debauchery. The lake originally were for catfish farms. Also spoke of a high security Air Force/ Convair site just to the south where planes would magically appear and disappear. Rumor has it when the stars and planets line up properly Gallagher and the Ball of Hair channel Gary Cooper and Gaga. When they are out of wack it's more Larry, Moe and Curley.
  19. Well 6, met with Dr Ron Hansen today, reviewed last weeks MRI and compared it to March's MRI and ultrasound. The tear/fracture in the medial meniscus was closed, still have some fraying on the horns, but evidence of growth. Space between tibia and patella was increased indicating something is growing. You might want to take a look at http://www.regenexx.com/2010/09/dr-centenos-new-book-on-regenerative-orthopedics/ which discusses Regenexx's approach to fixing knees, backs and shoulders. As to tightening up ACL/MCL I now have more joint stability than I have had in years. The MCL that used to flacidly bow out is now tight, the tears in both are healing. Frankly I could care less what insurance says, I'll be dipped if I will let some overpaid bureaucrat make decisions about my healthcare. Last time I looked a knee replacement was about the same as a loaded up X2, with better than a 30% chance of needing a second surgery, not to mention the high incidence of infection. Take the time and do the research Doc, before jumping to conclusions. Oh yeah, I know the old school hand divers got RC time and gave a better pull than that new fangled timing system, what the heck is wrong with hangin out the side of the boat with a stopwatch anyway....

  21. Has anyone else taken the trip trip Broomfield, Co for stem cell regeneration on their joints ? I had round 1&2 this past spring in lieu of a knee replacement. Stem cells tightened up both the MCL and ACL in my knee as well as healing a fracture in the medial meniscus. I also had the injections of my own stem cells and growth factors in my lower spine. Was able to ski a bit this season, although scores were down. Haven't taken an Aleve since March. Taking the 3rd trip this week in hopes of more growth before snow ski season gets underway. http://www.regenexx.com http://stemcelldoc.wordpress.com/2011/03/22/stem-cell-therapy-for-meniscus-injuries-a-comprehensive-approach
  22. Was a great weekend, I was stoked to do the web cast Sat with Tommy, schedule conflict kept me away Sunday. For sure be back next year if Badal will have me. BTW the Ball of Hair was correct, scores do bring out the retentives. Who's coming up to cheer on INT Regionals at Villa Lagos ? These guys need all the support they can get.
  23. One of my better days, up at 5:30 Villa Lagos to Brentwood banzi run, fun in the sun watching The Krista 2 finger twitter type and do her hair, the Ball of Hair himself go down on the microphone, oh yeah some damn fine skiing as well. Had some quality face time with McClintocks, Nate etc on the web cast. Beg, borrow or steal a ride and get there for the finals. I was more than a little disappointed in the Washington Baller chapter for not participating. OF, Richard and the rest you guys missed out on the big one. Man up next year or JTH will repo your stickers.
  24. And there in lies the rub, Perfect Pass flat worked just fine on the servo system but did not integrate with the ECMs on newer motors, thus was born ZO AND the GPS dance to get the latest and greatest tech to a relatively small market of waterskiers and to a HUGE market of wakeboarders who simply want to set it for speed and forget it. I keep hearing rumors of a a ZO "overlay" that has been tested almost from day one in RPM mode but that it has not hit the market because ZO wants to differentiate from the PP rpm mode. The one that bites me the most, as Horton pointed out, no 2 Malibus ski alike, no 2 MC's ski alike etc etc. Is there really a need for all the rumored "secret settings" ? If I'm going to continue to ante up to ski sanctioned events I would expect the towboats to ski more consistently than our 10 year old club 'tique, yet one of our owners runs 38 into 39 1/2 regularly, then goes next door and can't get past 35 behind a new promo. I don't really see the progress here.
  25. As an aging (Mens 6) overweight (200#) hacker (into 32 once in a while) I would be interested to have the haters and lovers weigh in. I'm betting the lovers are under 190 and ski very light on the line and the haters are 200+ and start their pull right after the ball and do a bit of scrapping. I've had some stellar ZO rides, the Gali test boat is one of my favs, for some reason that Malibu just skied great out of the wrapper. I keep hearing rumors that ZO programing varies from boat to boat, mfg to mfg. I sincerely feel that our governing body sold the membership out in the race to embrace tighter tolerances and build the Olympic dream. Get over it. Ain't gong to happen. I pick and chose where I spend my $50.00 and weekend, I am burned out on showing up, paying up and getting a crappy ride.
