    Not sure.

hadnt been on site, besides driving by and watching the zoo from afar etc

headed down to seminole cocunut creek casino. They've got 2x points on players cards for black jack tonight. come join me!

    Edit at 6:12pm

looking at the radar: this is a legit bad one, 3 hours plus and lightning.

driving by now and it’s bad. Main is 1 notch short of white caps.

might go to the kennel club instead  as they have 3 card monte.

main lake is going to be “busy”  water for the next two days fyi.

    edit 2:

looks like 4 hours of skiers didn’t get on the water today.

  2. Waters around 88-90 now. Tad on the warm side but ski sits nicely and its a bit sticky but still swings out.

If you are skiing after 2pm, bring a poncho, goggles and patience.

At one point we had 12+ boats today.

    You can disagree.

LOL socialism much? (Not a political statement)

”congratulations for your 3rd place podium finish. Here’s your invoice. We take Venmo or zelle in case you don’t have your wallet with you.”  Hilarious.

im all for the thought of contributing-volunteering a few extra dollars to fund the broadcast but the idea at the top. LOL.

My other idea was that podium finishers were asked, not forced, to pay their proportionate share of their event group.

One of the theories is "if you wouldn't say it on the dock, don't say it on the internet". This holds true.

No offense, if you brought that up out loud on the dock at a bigger ski club with national skiers, they would laugh in your face.

I was coming but suddenly I’m really sick. I’m driving from NY and if I can’t leave tomorrow there is no point going.

    You can't wimp out now.

I was going to have another 4-pack of tallboy IPA's for only me to drink while we pontificate about life, waterskiing and solving the worlds problems while sitting in the bleachers watching Mens 3 and Mens 4. Don't forget to bring your quarters to gamble or wager on skiers passes, high scores, failures, buoy's they will fall at and win-place-show.  It's an annual tradition.  You won't be too sick to go to Hawaii the following week will you??

  6. I'm a luddite. I dont have zelle/paypal/venmo/instagram/chinesetiktok and certainly not LifeLog I mean thefacebook.

I probably wont be at nationals in any capacity. Ive gots a job now!

Main northbound at the exit gates.

    Sorry.

  7. Some decent information in this thread.

im not in charge of practice but in 2019 msscoke and I worked the clipboards in the morning  as we had no place to  to ski.  We were just volunteers.

The worlds ever changing. I’ll find out what the status is if practice. Maybe.

typcially the practice lake is running full time sun up to sun down. Starts at 7:30am (lines form at 6:45 am)

the tournament lakes occasionally will pull practice if there is not a rain delay, there is enough daylight, a boat to officially pull practice, a driver and a crew  person. As you can see it’s quite a bit to organize.

Intiatllly  trying to get practice is very hard due to the demand but trying to get it for a specific day behind a specific boat, that’s moving mountains or lottery ticket.

  8. Fairly certain in the manual, selecting the entrance gates is when the puck passes through the gate or the right hand gate. Unless that has changed to the pylon. I mean, you could do it whatever method you wanted though.

Also, you used the words "hotter then normal". Yes having it mapped both directions freaks it out but "what is normal?".

On a single puck behind a malibu or mastercraft, the boat will probably be doing +0.5 mph, 34.7 or so through the gates.

on a single puck behind a Nautique, the boat, while pulling a 180lb skier and above, will probably be doing 0.7 mph, up to 34.9 or so through the gates,

The boat has to be going faster then 34.2 or the RPM ramp up from zero to 1 ball would be brutally unsustainable for the skier.

(all bets are off when you are not pulling a skier as you'll get 16.05's and 16.92's sometimes. The system is designed to have a skier.)

  9. Actually I see it another way.

They don't need more speed, they need the ideal way of slowing down ENOUGH.

Once a skier can own 35 off, 38 and beyond is about slowing down ENOUGH. It's not about going fast enough.

Suspect as per Nate's comments, gate timing, speed and energy margin for error is tiny. Too much and you there are probably quite a few 0.5s and 2 @. Same with any skier trying to run 38+ regardless of speed.

    It's about slowing down.

I know for the EX343 5.7L, 2012 was the crossover year for Catalytic converters. I'm seen 2012's with and without. I would tend to thing the same would apply for the ZR6.

    @jpwhit

Your knowledge on this site is unreal and suspect you are knee deep in the industry.

Just a question, are you sure that was 2012 and not 2011? 2010 was the first year of the 200 then 2011 there were still some changes.

Our first 200 was a non-cat boat. Our second 200 was a later in the year built cat-boat and it had 2-3 changes such as engine box hinges and a few other things, both 5.7l's
