  1. cooler/colder water = less wing; warmer water = more wing
  2. try the Intuits that are sold thru FM- rock solid great w/no tongue; pro tours
  3. for a friend of mine so he doesn't miss it
  4. okay, question to be posed: training wise I normally ski 22,28, 32 and then into 35 (pb 3@38); sometimes a couple of 28's, almost always multiple 32's before the 35's... been advised to drop the initial 22 and just 'recalibrate' my set w/a 28- need some feedback on this and whether or not it's a personal preference or if it'd help my performance. tried it a few times in the past but didn't like it. comments are welcomed! thx
  5. PT, pt, pt- had mine dislocated back in '05; decided to roll the dice- came out easily the next yr.; had it rebuilt and have been doing PT ever since as a lifestyle choice; this year I'm also doing a lot of much heavier weight pt, pt, pt
  6. my buddy and I have both migrated from the '09 A1 to the '12 A2 and, while we both love them, we both kind of feel that the A2's sweet spot is smaller than the A1 making it a tad less forgiving...thoughts? we also both think it's quicker off the ball so maybe HO added some tail stiffness which results in this? thx
  7. my son is currently running -15 @ 30 and I'm in no real hurry to get him off his two handed technique... figured he's got to make it thru 34 before I start pushing hard; and fwiw, when I have problems in spring with my own 34/22 the first thing I do is limit my handle release and keep the elbows tight
  8. yep, sounds about right- I"m using Exo's and have them set about 1/4" more rear than the "actual" rear of the shell.
  9. go back 1/4" from actual back of boot- this is what I found to help tons
  10. Dude- there are several threads dealing with the Exos- read them if you can; I ski about your line length and have terribly flat feet. I've migrated from the phantoms to the approach to stradas and finally to the exo forms...love them to death. I too have been told by the factory that all past shortcomings have been addressed. Also the lateral support is unsurpassed. Try them out if you can.
  11. Feel exactly the same way about my new A2 and Exo Forms...coming off of an A1 and Strada boots... almost feel like the boots were custom made for my feet and the factory default settings for the ski are dead nuts on
  12. on a 2012 A2 and loving it...
  13. keep doin what you're doin John...it's really appreciated btw, is there a "master" list of slalom ski sites in the US where someone can perhaps map a trail if going on vacation? That would be helpful thx
  14. You hopefully got that booklet that HO makes that explains all of that...if not contact them or the dealer that sold you the setup. For measuring I use tail to back of front boot. Fwiw, most skiers use some form of a B setting... A for lighter skiers; C for heavier skiers
  15. I loved the comfort of the Stradas but never felt that I was one with the ski- a little too much lateral flexibility; I was hoping for the next step progression from my old Approach boots- something the Exo's definitely fit the bill to a T; so far pretty good comfort, crazy amount of lateral stability and the for/back flex is completely fine; adjustability takes 2 seconds and they rotate too w/o much effort- pretty well thought out...all HO needs to do is refine the lacing/boot tongue interface and maybe go with a different liner but these are very minor issues- think they did resolve the alum. bar issue as well as other QA/QC things so I'm stoked- big kudos to the HO design team
  16. just got the Form's a few months ago- really can't imagine getting anything stiffer as they feel almost 'corrective' when compared to the Stradas I was in last year...so far love em!
  17. As I've been told before, think 50/50 with both arms and then just pin your elbows at the edge change
  18. How busy is OK in the middle of summer? Say, for example, from 7/15-7/22? I might be coming down there w/my son and I'd love to get in 2-3 days if possible from somebody? thanks!
  19. Agreed, I'm a 13/14 and their size 12/13 fits just fine
  20. Thank you MS! Innovation is the key at this point in our future; first big oil was against min. mileage requirements, now they're against alternate forms of energy while at the same time getting subsidies from us...
  21. understood; just wanted to clarify that... if that company just followed the rules (and they can still do so) they're already have a permit; as it stands they've even said any permitting would be premature as they're not even ready to move forward; likewise all these folks that are pro-small government (and thus federalist states rights folks) now stand against certain states that have not provided permitting... little lost here
