  1. I was going to order a new set of turn bouys for our October event this year but before i did i took a new spare one out to the course and compared it to the existing bouys which are now 2 years old and the old ones were still holding great color so i didn't change them . They are great and would recommend them to any one and his service is excellent also .
  2. I am considering holding a night slalom here on Champions Lake in Clermont Fl, i'm looking for some ideas on how to light up the bouys, we use Wally Skier Bouys and last night i zip tied a waterproof l e d flashlight underneath a bouy and it did a pretty good job , but im seeing if anyone has any other ideas , we do not have the Goode bubble bouys and i really do not want want to buy them for this event , so if any one has any sensible ideas i would like to hear them or if maybe someone has a set of bubble bouys we could use for one night also .
  3. Typically skiers will choose to ski International Men or Women as the AWSA age catorgories do not always align with IWWF, so to be able to ski, and be scored on the International Ranking list that is what we have to do.
  4. My system works like a dream it has made a lot of people very happy both in tournaments and in practice. We also have a bright LED light on each end which turns on when the button is pressed, so the driver the skier and the judges know the bouy has gone down and when the light goes out the bouy is back up. We have remotes in the boats for practice and in tournaments it is hard wired to the tower and the officials operate it .
  5. I would like to see the whole age cat thing revisited, the majority of skiers now appear to a younger fitter group of people and i believe that we should drop to 32 mph at say 68 ? and that the 35 yr age group stay at 36 mph until 40 yrs old moving all the catorgories i believe would help
  6. Truly a great event in a great venue, with non stop action on the water , plenty of food, drinks and entertaiment for everyone. This was the biggest crowd i have ever seen at a waterski event for many many years, kudos to Steve Garcia and his team for making the event a huge success.
  7. Try turning the master switch off on the boat and then back on again
  8. Our class C section is $75 and L&R IS $150 , the reasons we try to do class with the L&R is it gives the skiers that don't need ranking list scores ,gives the opputunity for lower ranked judges to gain experience and also gives the tech contoller time to set up before the L&R starts, so its win win. This year so far we are down on entries so far for the tournaments done and upcoing , normally we are running a wait list, tomorrow we have re santioned from a 2 rd to optional 3rd, weather permitting because of lower than expected entry
  9. Brian , we have 4 events here this year with one of them tomorrow, we always have a class c section as well as L & R our next one is Sept 3rd and Oct 8th thay will all be C,L& R
  10. Hey Guys, i have an English friend that is going to be workng over here for a while and will be near Warman Lake and she is wondering if there is someone she can contact about doing some skiing there? Perhaps someone would get in touch with me please if its possible
  11. SQuartly send me an email or private message
  12. The tribute to Roger Skalko held at Usa Hall of Fame, who kindly donated the venue for the event, was a testament to the popularity of Roger, there were upwards of 200 hundred people who attended, thanks to all those involved in putting it on. We will be accepting donations for a few more weeks for his Legacy fund. Checks can be made out to Usawaterski Foundation , Roger Skalko in the memo line, sent to Usa Waterski 1215 Holy Cow Rd Polk City FL 33868 8200
  13. We should not be blaming the skiers and sponsors, any skier can ask for a re ride and it is up to the Chief Judge and the appointed officials to make the call and that call should be final !!
  14. There has been a lot of problems with the pucks recently, get underneath the dash and find the the two antenna wires, they are marked, unplug them and switch them around, run the boat thru the course and then go to the diagnostic screen and see if you have a gps fail come up. You only need one puck the other one is a back up, it is more likely the problem than any thing else, if they are still under warranty get it exchanged because they are very expensive, if you have any problems doing this call me you have my no
  15. I had the same sort of message from them but the money was put in to Paypal and I shipped the ski , no problems at all it just seemed odd at the the time, I think they have limited language skills.
  16. I have some Brian , give me a call
  17. That will be great, and check out which prop is on the boat
  18. OB I agree with you and we have used all the boats here up to this point without any issues in the past, have you tested the 2014 Mastercraft? and if so did it work at your site? the person that told me this has, and I have the greatest respect for his knowledge and insight in this sport so when he talks, I listen
  19. I hope some one can give some guidance here on the new Mastercraft, one of our local promo guys would like to bring his 2014 boat to our first R&L event in April, normally we run only Nautigues but as this Mastercraft will be the boat that will be pulling the Senior Worlds I thought it is a good opportunity to ski on them for one round. After talking with some one with a wealth of knowledge about boats, he advises me that the 2014 Mastercraft is very slow out of the hole and with the current approved 4 blade propeller will not get up to speed in time on this lake, we have approx. 550 feet to the gates, so the boat would have to be at set speed 182 feet approx. before that so that it is still not gaining at the pregates , I'm told that maybe a 3 blade OJ may get it there? but I do not want to take any chances with a boat that may or may not be on speed at the pregates When I spoke with the promo guy about this he told me his boat came with the wrong prop? so is there a problem? a new boat being delivered with the wrong prop? I do not want, or need any issues in the tournament because the boat is not up to speed, or any potential records being denied because the boat is not using the approved prop.
  20. I am looking for a 68.75 A1 Syndicate, doesn't need to be perfect, if any one has one kicking around that they want to get rid of please let me know
  21. I have the same problem, my toe was getting so beat up I went back to a rubber front boot, I spoke with Reflex at the European Seniors last year and he told me many others had complained about this and there is a modification for it, you can get a small plate that you fit under the release mechanism that lifts the bars up a little so that your big toe slides in underneath as there is now a little more room. I did mine with some stainless washers and it did the same thing. One other thing to check is the collar at the top of the bars, one of mine had drifted down a little and that was cutting the end of my toe. Hope this helps.
